About the Author
Bo Mitchell has served as the team chaplain for the Denver Nuggets for eight NBA seasons. He played basketball and baseball at the University of Colorado and for two years played professional baseball in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. In his home town of Denver, Colorado, he has co-founded two Christian churches, a summer camp for inner-city kids and a radio and TV program called "The Heart of a Champion." He is a graduate of Denver Seminary and is co-founder and president of Garth Brooks’ Touch’em All Foundation, an organization founded in 1999 currently involving over 125 Major League baseball players. The Foundation raises and distributes money for the benefit of children with a focus on health, education, and inner-city needs. He and his wife Gari have been married for 30 years. They have two children, Ashley and Andy, who are both married and raising families of their own in Colorado.
