More About the Author

Joseph Mayo Wristen, was born in Toppenish Washington and has lived in the Northwest off and on for most of his life. At the age of seventeen, Joseph
had hitched hiked throughout the N.W. and California and some of Canada
fishing hiking, exploring our natural habitat. Until the age of
twenty six, he had spent most of his time traveling Europe and North America.

During this period of his life he worked many odd jobs, and met many interesting
People, attending classes at a variety of schools; including Fairhaven College, in Bellingham W.A.; the Madison Film School, in Madison WI.; and the Evergreen State College, in Olympia WA.; as well as others.

Joseph's first full time job was selling encyclopedias and children's books. He
presently works in the solar energy industry but has held a number of different jobs over the years in the Telecommunications industry, as well as in Real Estate.

Until 1999 no one other than his closest friends and family had seen Joseph's work.
Then at his youngest daughter's request he publish three books; one for each of them.
Just a Dancing Bear Looking for a Star, Dead Dreams, and Painting with Words.

He has also write a number of Chapbooks including; there's a dead man living in my kitchen, The Code, the Wall, and Time's Opera Written in 19 Parts.

In 2011 the Publication of his Collective Works from (1972 thru 2010 ) Waiting at the Hillside, is being published by AuthorHouse Publications.
