Are you kidding me? No reviews? This has to be remedied. If you've searched out this cd in hopes of hearing a great Johnny Hartman record you've come to the right place. I, perhaps like you, bought this after I couldn't get enough of the 6 tracks from the John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman record. This will not disappoint. Let me compare him to a great. When I hear Frank Sinatra sing I feel like his voice was sent directly from the heavens. I feel no less about Johnny Hartman on this disc. Just listen to Hartman's version here of "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning," a song Sinatra did so beautifully, and I believe you'll be sold. Hartman's baritone voice is one for the ages. The one-two punch of this and the Coltrane record are the proof. I know little about his personal story but he seems, for whatever reason, relatively unknown. It's a shame there is not more of his music available but "I Just Dropped By to Say Hello" is a treasure.
