Nice, well-organized phrasebook,

This review is from: Just Enough Spanish: How to Get By and Be Easily Understood (Just Enough Series) (Spanish and English Edition) (Paperback)
If you're learning another language, I highly recommend you read How to Learn Any Language first. Once you've done that, you'll see that a book like this is exactly what he recommends for developing proficiency in Spanish.
This book is laid out nicely for finding sections of phrases. If you're about to go into your hotel, check some of the phrases under Accomodations first. If you're about to eat, test yourself on some phrases under Eating and Drinking Out. The phrases and vocabulary in this little book are accurate, too. They even include a pronunciation guide (Abla oosted in-gles?) of the sort that's moderately understandable. It's a good buy.

Just Enough Spanish,

For the most part, this book provided me with what I was looking for, but could have had a little more information. Overall, it is helpful in learning some very basic words to begin to learn a little Spanish, but will need more in order to converse with my Spanish-speaking fellow employees. Great starter book, especially for travelers.

This review goes along with the other books of this series- the books are divided into chapters having to do with activities or places. If you want to find how to construct a sentence you have to look in several different parts of the book to do this. I found the books to be non-user friendly and quite frustrating. I do not recommend these to someone like me who TRIES to communicate in the local language. I used a Berlitz when in Paris in 1985 and found it to be much better.

This was an incredible book for visiting Spain. We should have used it for booking hotels, but didn't buy it until the last minute. But we did use it for sights, meals, getting around, etc. and it was fabulous.

All you need is this book,

To learn another language, you only need the basics and then you need to practice with native speakers. There is no other way to learn. This is the nicest and one of the best laid out books I have seen and you can also purchase the other books in this series to learn those languages as the layout of the various books are exactly the same.
