Solid third outing,
This review is from: Just Fall To Pieces (Audio CD)
Third album of honky tonk, western swing, Bakersfield, outlaw, and country rock for those liking their country raw, tight, and honest. No stinker songs, solid through and through.
If you are starting here check out his other two "Wasted Days" and "Midnight, California"

This is Dave Gleason's third CD and it's fantastic. Great songs, great players - what more can you want?! Dave has a sound that reaches back to his honky tonk heroes but he makes it all his own. Great guest players throughout the CD really add to the special event that listening to this CD is. I can't recommend it enough! In an age of people trying to pander to soccer moms and that 13-28 female market group, it's great to hear music that EVERYBODY can listen to and enjoy.

This is is my first experience with this artist, so my reaction may be superficial, as well as very personal and subjective. I found the material to be well chosen, but it seems to me there's something lacking in the singer's voice -- whatever it is that makes the difference between good and problematic. I couldn't play the disc through, because it became irritating to me. Nevertheless, worth a try for those who, like me, enjoy exporing.
