5.0 out of 5 stars Euge Groove Just Feels Right
I was unaware of who this sax player was and that he has so many songs on the radio until about a month ago, I heard this cd to be released. The song was 12:08 am and I was amazed. You know, there are songs thru the years that sing to your soul, and this is one of them. There are several other songs on this cd that sing to the soul as well. I am enjoying listening to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Good For Relaxing, But Not His Best Work
The fact that Euge wanted to use equipment no later than 1976 did facinate me. However, even with the great collaborators he worked with, this was not Euge's best work, I'd expected way more effort than his previous albums. The only song I liked in the album was "Chillaxin." Other than that nothing else caught my attention.

5.0 out of 5 stars Euge is at his best..........Again!!!, October 15, 2005
This review is from: Just Feels Right (Audio CD)
Euge is still following his proven, "Can't Miss," formula! This CD is another one of his powerhouses and showcases his talents not only on tenor this time, but the soprano and alto sax as well. Euge has found another nice smooth jazz niche by fusing smooth jazz while incorporating a bit of old school feel to the music in this CD. The result is another masterpiece. Euge constantly produces CD's that you really don't need to hear first before you buy; you simply pick it up and know it's going to be good. Get em goin' which was the trailer on his web site before the CD was released, is simply smoking. Euge plays tenor on this track and "Boy is this one going to sound great in concert!" Chillin, is another track that is sure to please and will remind you of his previous CDs. Two exceptionally relaxing cuts are, "Just my imagination," and "This must be real." Both are slow, melodic and relaxing. Just my imagination puts you back into the 70s' with its laid back beat. The track, "Just feels right," has Euge playing soprano again and does just what the name implies, the song does "Just feel right." The cut, "12:08," is truly relaxing. Pour yourself a glass of wine with this one, sit back in your favorite chair and relax, because this entire CD is another testament to Euges' dedication to his music, writing, and the art of saxophone playing. This entire CD, just sounds right, and "just feels right." Better pick yourself up a copy, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smooth Jazz the way it SHOULD be!!!!!!!, July 11, 2006

This review is from: Just Feels Right (Audio CD)
The reason I love this cd so much is that Euge Groove didn't clutter it up with unnecessary vocals. I listen to jazz for the music. To me when a vocal type of song comes on a cd that is primarily instrumental, it is subpar. I end up usually hitting the skip button. It's a waste! This cd is pure instrumental- and Euge Groove's saxaphone playing is so sweet and smooth, it's pure enjoyment! Not a bad or subpar song on the entire cd.
The previous cd he made, "Livin Large", had that rap song "thankuforlettinme...ect ect" twice on it, and that is the kind of stuff I don't care for- I'm glad he didn't do that on this cd.
I read the intro Euge wrote about how he was inspired to make this cd based on what the 70's were like musically, and instrument wise. He made a great cd, good job!

My biggest problem are the interludes in the CD's. While some CD's include just one interlude, there is no reason valuable space on a CD shouldn't be wasted on 3 INTERLUDES!!! To me, that's laziness not creativity. Because of these interludes, this CD is one of the shortest playing CD's I have.

Other than that, this CD is good on a slow relaxing day if you don't mind changing CDs in a short time. I'd rather keep listening to his Livin Large CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars what can i say, it "JUST IS RIGHT", September 13, 2005
This review is from: Just Feels Right (Audio CD)
Not only does this piece of work just feel right, it is right! Euge created an opus for any fan of the smooth jazz genre. The title song has Euge playing soprano sax and it is a virtuoso performance in both play and songwriting. "Get Em Goin" is an uptempo hard driving horn song that is GUARANTEED to get any fan of the sax moving. Euge shows his versatility as a songwriter and player of all variations of sax from soprano to tenor. He brought in a great group of musicians to play. This is music meant to be played live. Nothing artificial here. Highly recommended. Great for listening on a nice long road trip. If you enjoy jazz and saxophone based music...BUY IT NOW!

5.0 out of 5 stars APTLY TITLED!!, September 21, 2006
This review is from: Just Feels Right (Audio CD)
I always like it when you can buy a disc and it has multi-tasty tracks on it. This one has some head boppin' tunes on it like "Get 'em goin'" (this cut has a little 70's funk on it). "Chillaxin" will get your fingers snapping too! As I was listening to the various cuts, "Straight Up" jumped up and surprised me as well. For you old heads, the cover of "Just my Imagination" will be enjoyable to you as well. There is a lot of Sax appeal here (I've always found the Sax to be sexy, especially here). Anyone who enjoys contemporary jazz will enjoy this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another flawless release, December 27, 2005

In my opinion, Euge has a way of grabbing you through his music. He can do anything: he can relax you, excite you, dance with you, talk to you, all through the songs on his CD's. I cannot find, on this or any release he's had since his 2000 self titled CD, one track that I don't like. On this CD, Chillaxin', 12:08 AM, and Just My Imagination are the three standouts for me. Cantstopdafunk is a little "out there" for my tastes, but I like it. Just Feels Right and Get Em' Going are very nice tracks. I just can't find a single dud on this CD.

As with every other release he's had, I'd suggest that you definitely get it. I would also recommend that you see him in concert. He's great, and after all this time, unequivocally, STILL my favorite jazz artist.

I am really enjoying this cd especially the song Just Feels Right. It can pick up your spirit and get your day started on a happy mood. The other songs are very good, well worth the money for the cd.
