I first used this product's counterpart, "Just For Me Shampoo" and loved it. I was very disappointed with this conditioner. It feels okay when being applied but as soon as it's rinsed out your hair feels tangled and unconditioned. When hair dries it is left with a tacky feel like you need to wash it. Will not be buying again.

I have used the product twice now. I have fine hair and lots of it.
Pro: Smells nice (Shea Butter), not too strong
The residue makes for good up-do hair
Con: Hair feels almost greasy
Have to wash hair the next day again

Depending on how you like the consistency of your conditioner the milky not creamy feel of it, could be a pro or con.

This conditioner seemed too light to me, a watery-feeling product. It didn't seem to do a very good job of conditioning my hair, and I didn't like the feel of my hair after using it, neither when it was wet nor after it dried.

Apparently, this product is geared towards children, and more towards those with "ethnic" hair, and perhaps it works for that purpose, but that was not made clear on the product page, and for me, it just didn't work well. Had I know it was a niche product, and not a niche into which I fit, I wouldn't have ordered it.

The scent was fairly neutral, not as pleasant to my sense of smell as the shampoo of the same brand, but nice nevertheless.

Maybe good for some people, not good for me.

This product is fine but nothing out of the ordinary. I purchased both the shampoo & conditioner and hoped they might be above par but they are not. Nice feel to the texture but ordinary in every other sense of the word. I doubt I would purchase this again.

This conditioner has worked wonders on my niece's waist length hair. If she were to cut it, it would be naturally curly, so it also has the course texture sometimes associated with naturally curly hair. Because of the length and it's tendency to curl and frizz in humidity, it's a constant battle to keep her hair tangle free. We usually braid her hair or put it in a pony tail just to try and keep it as manageable as possible. Products like Frizz-ease help, but so much is needed due to the length of her hair that it gets unbelievably expensive. When talking with my hair stylist, she recommended the Just For Me line. Even though it's marketed for African-American hair, she said it should work for my niece's.

Between this, the shampoo, and the detangling spray, her hair is now incredibly smooth and almost completely tangle free. The conditioner doesn't leave a heavy residue, which is wonderful, and it smells of baby powder. The product is on the watery side, and doesn't seem like it will work well, but it does. Don't use too much or the hair ends up feeling very over conditioned and waxy as if it wasn't rinsed out very well. Compared to other products, the price is good. This is a line where the products really do work better if you use all the same brand. We tried using this with another brand of shampoo, but it didn't seem to stay as tangle free as well or as long. After a couple months of use, this product and others in the line have done wonders for wild hair.

I've used this conditioner twice and it leaves a sticky, flat residue in my hair no matter how much I rinse. Not recommended!

I have a lot of hair. In fact, I often joke that I have enough hair for three people because it is very long and thick as well as wavy and somewhat prone to being dry and slightly brittle at the ends. I'm mentioning this because how a conditioner affects ones hair is related to its general tendencies. If you have thin, fine, or very straight hair, this conditioner may or may not affect your hair differently.

Since I do have so much hair, I use a fair amount of conditioner and have sampled many types. I evaluate each of them based on the how they effect the following: body, shine, manageability (ease of coming out), texture, frizz control/smoothness promotion; I also look at scent, price, and volume required to do the job.

In terms of body, this does a very good job of holding and slightly enhancing my hairs natural body. It did not have a flattening effect on my hair. It also promoted good shine, which for a moderately priced conditioner is encouraging. I've found that cheap conditioners tend to dull hair, especially if you're older as I am (48). Effects on texture-softness-were especially good. I think this is the shea butter doing its thing. Smoothness and frizz control could be better, but there is an adequate amount.

The scent is lovely and natural and lacks the heavy, perfume scents of some other conditioners. I don't have to use too much to get the job done. The reason this is a 4-star instead of a 5-star product is that the frizz control could be a little better, and while this is far from an expensive conditioner, it is a smallish size for the price. I think that it also could promote shine somewhat more, but generally, I think this is a great conditioner for those with younger hair than mine who do not want something which is too overbearing in terms of scent.

Just like its accompanying shampoo, Just For Me Hair Milk Conditioner smells awesome! I use it after its accompanying shampoo, and the smell is just heavenly. It's not too thick, but I only use it on the ends of my hair so as not to weigh my hair down. I think this would be great if you feel you have to use it from roots to tips. It's not as heavy or oily as other store brand conditioners, so it doesn't weigh down your hair once your hair is dry, so you can actually put styling product if you want and still have volumized clean hair.

The only cons I can think of (and that's why I rated it 4 stars) is that your hair tends to get sticky at the end of the day, even if you haven't gone out at all. The smell also kinda deteriorates into a hand soap kind of smell by nighttime. Also, with other conditioners, when I comb out my hair, it's hardly ever tangled. With this conditioner, though, maybe because it's so gentle and not as oily or heavy, I find my hair is a little bit tangled afterwards. This made me think I should've gotten the Just For Me Hair Milk Nourishing Detangler as well. That would complete the whole hair-food experience!

I am reviewing the shampoo and conditioner as a set - since it is hard to talk about one without the other.

My granddaughter just turned seven and is enjoying growing up. She likes to use her Mom's and my stuff, and while still a "little" girl, enjoys the feminine side of things.

Since I got the shampoo and conditioner from Vine, I had set it in the tub to test, something she quickly discovered when she took her bath. Looking at the words, she decided that "Just for Me," referred to her, and insisted that her mom use it on her hair. I'm not certain which age group they are after with that title, but I think they hit the market with that one.

The shampoo isn't very thick and it lathered into her hair easily. The conditioner also went in nicely and didn't leave her hair greasy at all. Together they made a nice set. Best of all, it has a fresh, almost innocent scent to it that goes along with her personality.

Both the Shampoo and Conditioner are now Grandma approved, and she even left some for me when it was my turn in the tub. :-)

My daughter (middle-schooler) has very short color-processed hair. And she is 'the guinea pig' that used this product.

The Hair Milk came out of the bottle as a thick, white fluid. It had a pleasant enough smell, and she left it in her hair for about 3 minutes before washing it out. Despite how thick the conditioner was, she didn't have any problem washing it out. And I have to say that it made my daughter's hair really soft.

Now, I-personally WOULD NOT use the Hair Milk because to my eye it over-conditioned her hair, making it straighter and smoother. This would be okay if your hair is in a style where straight and non-fluffy works; but definitely not good if you have long hair and want it to have volume.

You might want to try this if you have short hair, but I would be hesitant to suggest the JUST FOR ME HAIR MILK CONDITIONER for longer hair, unless you want a tamer, smoother look.
