This review is from: Just A Gigolo / I Ain't Got Nobody (Album Version) (MP3 Download)
Back in 1984 when David Lee Roth first released this cover version of the classic by Louis Prima, it went all the way to #12 on the Billboard charts. Diamond Dave obviously had fun with the song both during the audio recording and when he made the video (this was in the days when people actually watched MTV for music videos). He belts out the tune with an energy that brings a smile every time you hear the song even though the lyrics might suggest a more somber tone. This is easily my favorite song from Roth's solo efforts and one that just about anyone can enjoy.
