4.0 out of 5 stars Going back to the beginning to challenge assumed truths., February 16, 1999

This review is from: Just Good Friends: Towards a Lesbian and Gay Theology of Relationships (Paperback)
When I read this book, I wanted to cry. Here was an author who understood me, my thinking, and my need to get to the roots of my faith. Stuart begins by time-traveling back to the beginning of Christianity and explains how our current system was developed. She then questions the "rightness" of these developments, and offers new options for how Christians look at relationships. If you have ever wondered what is essential to the Christian faith and what has been unnecessarily added through a heterosexual-male-dominated history, you MUST read this book.
