Just Me and My Grandma is another great Little Critter CD. I thought the multi-language aspect was a nice addition. The story is good and the animation when items were clicked on is great. There are also games to play. I think this CD is more appropriate for young children, rather that children in school. The quality is good, but the story and animation, as well as the number of choices available are not as entertaining or imaginative as the 'Just Me and My Mom' and 'Just Me and My Dad' computer programs. My son has been interested in 'Mom' & 'Dad' for nearly three years- but the 'Grandma' computer program only interested him for a few weeks. I think this is a great CD- but its' longevity is not as high as "Mom' and 'Dad'.

My three year old son really likes this CD. He is bilingual,and he gets to choose what language to listen to. He likes the clickable stickers and has really learned how to master the mouse. He also has fun building the sand castles. I really like all the features on this CD. I wish I could find more multilingual CD's like this one.

The book runs on my XP machine, but not well. It reads through and I can click all the words and hear the pronouciation, but it crashes when I click certain "clickables." I try it on a older machine (windows 98) and it works perfectly. A wonderful kids story, however, and I am using it to teach my 5 year old to read.
Recommended if you can downgrade. Otherwise, your kid will get upset very soon if it crashes all the time.

My three year old granddaughter loves this program! I sent it to help her make the transition from her mountain home in Colorado to visit me at my beach-side home in Hawaii. Her mother says she has great fun learning about the sea from a distance, and can use the program with little assistance needed.

My 3 year old had the book first and then I purchased this. She loves it and enjoys it thoroughly. Keeps her occupied and happy while she can either just have the story read to her online or interact with some of the fun activties it offers.

We own several "Living Books" titles. Just Grandma and Me is a great story with several great options (like Spanish and Japanese reading modes).

The beauty of Living Books is the ability for self-directed play and education. From the time they were just 2 years old, my kids both enjoyed many hours playing (and learning) with living books.

I highly recommend this title.

Althought my 2 years old son does not speak English(Only Turkish his native language), the animation of this living book attracts his attention very much, especially the fact that by clicking on each and every item, he gets a reaction, makes him a fanatic of this software. His favorite is tickling grandma' s toes, last time we did it was over 20 times. Greetings

What a delightful book for my granddaughter! I take her to the library and it is installed on their computers and my grand-daughter, age 2, loved it so much! Her Aunt found it in a book club and ordered it so she now has it at home also and I am hear to buy another cd rom by Mercer! She knows it all by heart. :-) Her favorite is the sticker part, what a great idea since all children love stickers; even at age 2!

The language option reinforces language learning in bilingual children as well as teaching kids computer skills and literacy skills. It is a really fun and educational activity that kids are drawn to. Worth the money!

My 4 year old grandaughter is thrilled each time she reads this book. She loves the characters, sounds and many ways you can read the book. The program is very easy to use. She likes that it can be read in more than one language. Excellent fun!
