The description of this book says, "explore fun ideas on how to stay connected even if you live miles apart." I purchased two of these books as I rarely see my granddaughter, who lives 1600 miles away. I thought it would be a great tool to help us get to know each other better in spite of the distance.
When the book arrived, I looked through it and was disappointed.
Many of the activities (for example, schedule a sleepover at Grandma's house without Mom or Dad, make an art and craft together with candy, read together, etc.) were activities that required Grandma to be close by.
Be advised if you live more than a 2-hour trip away from your granddaughter, this book might not be what you're looking for.

Our 8 yr old daughter was thrilled to receive this. Her Grandma lives far away and so they are filling out this book together long distance. It arrived on time and has fun information for both to enjoy.

My daughter gave this to my mother for Mother's Day. It has cute age appropriate activities and ideas for a girl and her grandma to spend some time getting to know each other....how can that be bad? I definitely don't think it something adults would go to as a reference, but my daughter goes to it as an excuse to get grandma's attention. If anything, it serves as an occasional reminder to set out time specifically for one another.

This book is geared towards Grandmothers and granddaughters who live somewhat close to eachother. It works well for our family since Grandma lives only 5 miles away. There are cute activities in it, such as pasting a picture of Grandma on 1 page and the child on the other page and comparing similarities and differences. There's also a list of questions for each person to answer, crafts, and sleepover activities. This is a great avtivity book for weekends spent at Grandma's house.

I would not recommend this book for families who live far apart. The book is really intended to be completed together and requires quite a bit of time together.

This is a wonderful book with various activities. Many that will create memories and help my granddaughter learn and bond with me and vice versa. My granddaughter LOVES the time we get to spend together doing the activities. She wanted to do everything the first day she got the book. Now she wants the "mom and me" and the "dad and me" books.

My granddaughter loves this series of books where you ask various family members questions and you make pacts and do various activities. This one did not have as many questionnaires as she likes (as did Just Mommy and Me), but we had a lovely holiday with this book. She is 8 and she might just end up being the family genealogist!

They spent a whole weekend laughing and enjoying the book. It was a great bonding opportunity for them. This says a lot because they see each other weekly -- yet this book added something to their "special relationship". I also bought the Mom & Me version.
