Six friends from Grover Cleveland Elementary School have one thing in common: they love Double Dutch. After one of the girls sees an advertisement for a statewide Double Dutch competition, Rachel, Ming, Tanya, Carla, Lindsey, and Nancy decide to step up their practice time, become a team, and jump into the opportunity to compete in their favorite activity. The girls have no idea of the surprises that lie in store for them. They work hard learning the ins and outs of Double Dutch, and they also learn to face their fears, reach out to others, and pull together as a team.As the Double Dutch Club finds out, the road to the competition isn't easy, but it is definitely worth the ride. Mabel Elizabeth Singletary has worked as an educator for over twenty-eight years. Currently she serves on the board of directors of C.A.R.E Ministries, Inc. She attends and teaches Sunday school at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. She and Bishop Charles V. Singletary have two children and reside in Somerset, New Jersey.
