Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

Six friends from Grover Cleveland Elementary School have one thing in common: they love Double Dutch.

After one of the girls sees an advertisement for a statewide Double Dutch competition, Rachel, Ming, Tanya, Carla, Lindsey, and Nancy decide to step up their practice time, become a team, and jump into the opportunity to compete in their favorite activity.

The girls have no idea of the surprises that lie in store for them. They work hard learning the ins and outs of Double Dutch, and they also learn to face their fears, reach out to others, and pull together as a team.

As the Double Dutch Club finds out, the road to the competition isn't easy, but it is definitely worth the ride. When it comes to friendship (and to Double Dutch) they've learned what to do-just jump in!

More About the Author

Mabel Elizabeth Singletary grew up in Roselle, New Jersey. As a child, she was inspired by her second grade teacher to one day become an educator herself. Becoming a teacher was a dream come true. very good book....the author has given each girl her own signature personality and voice, which makes for very good reading....it is interesting to see how the girls interact with each other, working out their differences to come together as a team ...this book illustrates lessons of spiritualilty, humanity, and working with others in a very enjoyable fashion...a very good "read" for preteens and their parents....
