I anticipated a solo release from Karima since Virtue's 1997 debut! It took me a while,[...] and was excited to hear her vocals and beautiful lyrics!

1. "So Happy" (5 out of 5) I STILL love this song! It's a pick-me-upper! Karima's thankful for what GOD has done for her (inspite of!)

2. "Light" (5 out of 5) Encourages listeners to represent Jesus (uncompromisingly)...no matter where you are!

3. "Closer" (4 out of 5) As the end is drawing nigh, i MUST grow closer to Jesus!

4. "Forecast" (5 out of 5) Rain makes ya appreciate the SUNSHINE!

5. "Just To Know" (5 out of 5) Thank the LORD for loving me just for me inspite of me!

6. "Hold Me Back" (5 out of 5) i love the music on this one!

7. "Dream" (4 out of 5) Dont give up on your dreams!

8. "Save Me" (4.5) save me from ME!

9. "Change A thing" (4.5 out of 5) dont know if i agree with the lyrics cuz i would change a few things about my past if i could but thank GOD for grace & mercy!

10. "Should've seen it coming" (4.5 out of 5)

11. "Love of a lifetime" hmmmm...this song seems a little out of place (for me). Its not like the song Tamela Mann sings about her spouse...i dont know but this song is just...

in any rate, this album is good! 4.25 out of 5!!!!!!!!!

I think the CD is really good. She has such a unique voice. I love to hear her sing.

Let me start by saying that I'm a huge Virtue since the first CD they dropped in 1997. I thoroughly enjoyed "Get Ready" also. After 2 of the members left and Heather Trotter came on the scene, I feel like the sound of Virtue deteriorated. "Free" was a step up...but still not up to par with their first two albums. (Still haven't listened to "Testimony" all the way) So when Karima came out with her solo project, I basically slept on it.

Then I decided to check it out...the first song I heard was "Light"....I was so astounded and surprised at how well done the song was! Such a bold declaration of how we should let out lights shine for Christ, and it is a banger!!! One of my favorites for sure.

"So Happy" took a while to grab my attention, but when it did, I was loving it. It's a slow gainer, because much of the album sounds like this, but it's solid.

"Hold Me Back" is also a strong one. Has a sunny disposition to it, and is a very bright song about God's love.

When I finally went through the rest of the album, I was disappointed. Much of it doesn't stand out. "Dream" is okay, "Love of a Lifetime" is okay, the other slow one in the middle is okay....track 5....I can't remember what it is. when I heard the first two songs, I thought this was going to be a stellar album that everyone slept on. However, I see why it didn't gain much attention. You'd just have to be a die-hard fan of Virtue, or have caught one of the first two songs. So 3 stars. Not horrid, but not amazing either.

Loved this lady when she was singing w/Virtue and still love her vocals. Some of the tracks on album are a bit too contemporary for me, but her voice still shines thru, just as it always has. Just wish she would have put a nice ballad on this album, but i'm sure this isn't the last we'll be hearing from her - Keep Singing Karima!!!!

Wow Wow is only how ican explain Karima's Music this is a must have the cd is awesome you will love it. My Fav's are Light,Forecast,Save Me Hold Me Back,Just To Know,Closer, all the songs are just amazing!
