Way to go Max Lucado! I used this book for my Sunday School class. The class has grown from about 10 to nearly 40 people. The main growth took place during the use of this book. Every page gives you a challenge of striving to live your life as Jesus did; forgiving, compassionate, giving, caring, and loving those around you. The book was a real eye-opener to all of us in the study. I now scan AMAZON and the bookshelves for Max's books. It was the first time that I had ever read one of his books from cover to cover. God is using Max! (Max, if you're reading this...Always keep your heart sensitive to the inspiration of God and keep passing it on!) If you're a Sunday School teacher or Small Group/Cell Group Leader...THIS IS THE BOOK YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!

Lucado has done it again! This book is so great that I have bought several to give away. No- it's not intellectually stimulating- I don't think the author intended it to be- it is "heart" and "spirit" stimulating. Anyone as intelligent as Lucado could write something too difficult for us to understand, but he chooses to use a style that all of us can relate to- Just like Jesus did (and does)

I was going through a tough divorce and it gave me the strength to do nice things, instead of wanting revenge. I made a point to read at least one chapter a day. If I was upset, I would read and he helped give me the strength to do what I morally should do. The book was not overpowering by too many scriptures. He did an excellent job of using scriptures to get the message across. I have also read two more of his books. He is a great author.

When I first heard about Max Lucado it was for his latest book "He Chose The Nails" (another great one!). But when I walked in the book store I ended up getting two books and neither was the book above. I got this book and When Christ Comes. I do not regret the day I did that. Max Lucado has now become my favorite author. I love the way he puts stories in his books to make you think, and this book is too good for words. I am using it as part of my devotional because my time is few. What I really loved about this book was how Max told us to listen to God and let God love US (not let us love God, there is a difference in that!). I never thought of it, and this got me thinking. This whole book will make you THINK! I mean talk about a "what would Jesus do?" book. This one would be up there with that kind of book. This book teaches you how to live like Jesus, and it shows you that God loves you, just for you but He wants you to change daily. Pick this up, you wont regret buying it and like me,it will be hard to put it down. And dont be suprised if you find yourself picking it back up again not too long once it is done. Good going Max Lucado! Truly a God Sent!

Just Like Jesus can be inspirational at times, mundane at others. I think this is a book that would have a better message with fewer pages. It seems the author sometimes begins to ramble in his stories looking for space filling material instead of staying focused simply on the message. However, the next to last chapter does stay on target and is some of the best, most inspirational reading I've had in some time.

Just Like Jesus takes you from the here and now to a view of eternity. Can you be like Jesus? Well, no one can be perfect but Jesus demonstrated so many qualities and traits that anyone should be willing to emulate to be like Jesus. Afterall, Jesus now lives in heaven and isn't that where we want to be? We want to be just like Jesus...living with God and in a wonderful place. To do that, we must also try to emulate what Jesus was while He was on earth. Through this book, Lucado shows us some of the qualities we can attain to...if we desire.

While this may not be the best book I've read, it's certainly worth reading if you are on a spiritual quest to follow Christ.

This book was wonderful. Max gives examples that are easy to understand and interpret. Wanting to grow as a Christian, I found this book extremely helpful. I highly recommend this book to you. You won't regret it. Max is a great writer, and I am going to buy copies of this book for all my relatives.

"I HAVE SPENT YEARS CLAIMING TO BE THIS AND THAT, THIS BOOK MADE ME TAKE AN HONEST LOOK AT MY DAY TO DAY LIFE" . AFTER READING "JUST LIKE JESUS" , I KNEW I WASN'T WHERE I SHOULD BE AND NOW THAT MY EYES ARE OPEN, ON A DAILY BASIS I STRIVE TO BE JUST LIKE JESUS ! (THANKS MAX)

In yet another wonderfully inspirational book, Lucado urges his readers to live a life that Jesus would be proud of. He doesn't tell the reader what he needs to do however, just reminds us of the way that Jesus lived and that we should look at him as an example of how to live. Enhancing this message is a very useful study guide perfect for small group study or even individual contemplation.

Lucado's illustrations using his own family and experiences really help to fit his words and the words of the Bible into our own lives and remind us that "He loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus."

Why 5 stars?:
Lucado has turned out another powerful book concerning how we can become like Jesus. The study guide make the reading of the book even stronger by challenging the reader to look deeper into his own life. Recommended for those strong in their faith, but still wanting to improve their walk with God, all the way to those who are just curious about who Jesus is.

This book can really help personalize your relationship with Jesus. It can highlight the areas in your life that you need to work on in order to grow as a Christian. I love it!

I read this book a little over a month ago and even today I was thinking about what it said. This book has challenged what I think and how I live my daily life. There are stories of people who challenged themselves each and everyday to live as Jesus did. And they did it! Real stories, not just a fictional book. Max makes you think about your life and how you are living. There is a part in the book where he tells you to march you thoughts to God and to let him judge them. I am constantly finding myself do this. Never before had I read a book and remembered it a month after reading it, until I read "The Great House Of God" (Also by Max) I remember parts of that book a year after reading it. Max Lucado is a very talented writer and I'm excited that he is on the right side! May God bless him for his obedience.
