Book Description

Sam Bradford is good at two things: being an ace paramedic and seducing women. His expertise, and absolute no-exceptions rule to only sleep with a woman once, makes him the perfect choice when Danika Steffen’s sisters decide she needs to have a one-night stand. But when the stubbornly independent Danika breaks her wrist during their one night together and suddenly can’t even wash her own hair, Sam’s stuck playing the hero. And just like that Sam finds all his rules and good intentions going straight to hell.

About the Author

Erin Nicholas has been reading and writing romantic fiction since her mother gave her a romance novel in high school and she discovered happily-ever-after suddenly went a little beyond glass slippers and fairy godmothers! She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!). Just Like That is Erin’s third published title.

Just Like That is Book #2 in the Bradfords series and I have to say I loved Just Like That even better than book #1 Just Right!

In Just Like That we learn more about Sam, the middle sibling. Sam is the ultimate carefree, commitment phobic laid back casual guy, flocks of women are at his feet and he loves women: he loves giving them pleasure and enjoying them, but that is all. He has some serious rules: he doesn't sleep twice with the same woman, never sleeps with her after sex and he doesn't do any other leisure activity like watching a movie together or just talk. Having read about all three siblings I have to say Sam is the one who took their father's death the hardest, and he is the one who couldn't really cope with it or move on. He is a deeply hurt, scarred guy who is terrified of losing again someone he cares about and that is why he doesn't want to let anyone near and grow to love them. It is his self-preservation mechanism.

He is a lady's man through and through and that's why Danika's sisters have chosen him to help out Danika by giving her her very first orgasm! Yes, that is how these two meet: Danika is at a bar with her two sisters, discussing her problematic sex life (or lack of) and Sam and his friend Ben overhear the whole shocking conversation from the neighbouring table, since Danika's sisters don't really care about keeping it down. Of course Sam is intrigued by the challenge and that is even before he catches his first glimpse of Danika, after that:

"She swayed closer. His eyes focused on her lips for a moment and he felt a suden need to kiss her. Not just a desire to kiss her, but a demanding, do-it-or-die need.

I loved this book. I have read everything Erin Nicholas has written and her stories just keep getting better! Her characters are very relatable and you feel like you want them to be your friends. I love that we get to revisit characters in this book that we've read about before. The love scenes keep getting hotter too! This is a very entertaining summer (or any time) read. I highly recommend this book and any other that Erin Nicholas writes!

Danika Steffen is more than a little embarrassed that her sisters are openly discussing her lack of orgasms in public at a restaurant. Danika may lack plentiful orgasms in her life, but it is not because she is naive, more that she chooses not to go there with men. After dealing with a very sick mother and subsequent death growing up, Danika now likes her life in order, without messy surprises and emotions, which orgasms and boyfriends can bring. But her sisters are worried about her and have made other plans for this night.

Paramedic Sam Bradford happens to be sitting at the next table, thoroughly enjoying this outrageous conversation next to him. He knows Danika's sister through the hospital, and he is also well known for his bedroom skills. Danika's sisters want Sam to give Danika one night of pure pleasure. Danika knows fully well that Sam has been listening in, and when he approaches her about spending the night with him, she surprises him by not acting embarrassed or shy. She is ready to spend one night of pleasure, and then go back to her ordered life. Or so she thinks.

With the beginning of Just Like That full of orgasm talk and with Sam swooping in ready to show her the night of her life, I got a little nervous. I pictured the entire rest of the book with them in bed full of erotic sex. Which, isn't necessarily all bad, but I worried for the actual story. But after they leave the bar, Danika ends up breaking her arm, and sexy time goes out the window. All of a sudden I was reading a book full of witty banter, tons of flirting, and hot sexual tension (that yes, eventually leads to the bedroom.)

Sam is such a good hearted hero he made me smile a lot throughout the book. Danika and Sam both have messy family histories which lay heavy on their shoulders.

This series must be read in order. The first book is Just Right (The Bradfords Book 1). This is the second book.

Sam decided at 15 he would never ever make himself the center of ANYONE'S world... After all his father's death destroyed them all. He never ever wanted to be that important! He could not bear to cause that much pain and disappointment to someone he cared about so he is careful. He is careful to never help too much... Or sleep with anyone twice... Or be on time all the time... Or show up to everything he's expected to. He is always there when it matters but not the reliable or dependable one. Mr. Irresponsible is his persona and he's sticking to it! Then the oddest thing happens in the bar... He overhears an intriguing conversation (while out with his brother in-law Ben) between three sisters.... And his life as he knows it is OVER! Will he survive this woman he is so spellbound by? What is it about her that has him so enthralled that he keeps forgetting his rules?

Dani will never ever let a man get too close. That's why she is not "fulfilled" by her relationships. She can't let them in because if she falls in love then she will rely on him and all that brought her parents was grief. So what if her choices are safe and she already knows why she will be ending them at the start? She is self reliant. If she needs it done she will learn how to do it on her own. End of story! So what if this gorgeous god of a man makes her want to throw all her rules out the window.... She's all about the knowledge... She has to know what she's missing... And it will be only one night right? She is in control still isn't she?
