This is the perfect book for children growing up in a bilingual family. I purchased it for my three small grandchildren, and I think it will be helpful for them, as well as fun. Bravo, Jorge Ramos, one of my favorite journalists.

I read a lot of bilingual or Spanish-only books to my three-year old boy -- some of them feel like the Spanish is an afterthought or it's not very well written or translated compared to the English versions. Not this book. This book is EXCELLENT in both Spanish and English and what a wonderful theme -- about family and how we carry our elders within us. I can't recommend this book enough.

My friend requested for me to buy this book for her and her two sons. Unfortunately being froma latin culture it was a little hard to see the resemblence. My friend ended up returning the book since she has two boys and this book would be best for someone with both a girl and a boy.

I purchased this book for my 13yr old son but i read it to my 3yr old grandaughter and she loved it. I noticed we have something in common, 'we love to act out when we read' and she has a big imagination to tell stories. Enjoy!
