What's so hard about Greek?,

Efharisto! I love this course! I have become fluent in Spanish, pretty good in Portuguese, and I've failed miserably at Arabic after 10 1/2 years of study. I took up Greek with the intention of using it on a future trip to Greece. I have not been there yet, but I feel that I will be well-prepared after studying "Just Listen N' Learn Greek." It creates, at least, the illusion that Greek is an easy language. I'm sure it has many difficulties but for now, I'm finding it very easy to learn. Pronunciation is not difficult and it's easy to grasp linguistic concepts. All the dialogues make the Greeks appear to be a very friendly and vivacious people.
I'd recommend getting a book which does a more thorough job of learning to read Greek, such as "Teach Yourself Greek" as a supplement. But "Just Listen N' Learn Greek" does a fantastic job of teaching you natural conversational Greek.

This book is good for anyone beginning to learn Greek. It would be nice if it covered a little more grammar but all the modern Greek books I've found seem to be for conversational purposes mainly. For that purpose, this book is highly recommended.
