Putting the indecent exposure issue aside (as it should be - I mean c'mon, it was just a breast!), Janet is once again flying high with this smart, catchy first single from her new album Damita Jo. Brilliant guitar riffs and sensual beats make "Just a Little While" total ear candy. All of this, of course, doesn't explain why it has flopped on American radio. The single started off great when it debuted at #45 on the Billboard Hot 100. The lyrics, as great as I think they are, are probably a little too sensual for the majority of mainstream listeners. The lyrics are simply Janet speaking frankly about the many wonders of passionate love making. Janet even talks about love making when she's alone... Draw your conclusions. From this perspective, I'm not really surprised that American radio has quickly lost interest in this pop gem. The music is indeed hot, but the lyrics are maybe too spicey for radio (and it's a shame really). The remixes, however, should go over just fine with clubs. The Canadian edition of this single features the radio edit version of Peter Rauhofer's remix. Believe me, it's hot! Overall, I say good job Janet.

Some of the other reviews here are a bit excitable, but "Just A Little While" is a great pop song. Calling to mind vintage Prince, this is a guitar-driven hook-laden track that should see Janet back in the upper end of the charts. It doesn't break the mould like her earlier singles, but if you like pop music, you'll love this.

I am not sure if I follow the other review about the lyrics being too racy, but I am not sure but the FCC has just scared everyone into thinking that just about everything is too much. I am not sure if I agree with this racy lyrics thing, but anyway, the track 2 PETER RAUHOFER club mix quickly caught my attention on this IMPORT CD and it has some RED HOT rhythm going on with a spicy Latin feel to the groove. You will love it and it is the Longest mix on the cd....!!!!

Es Un Single Muy Bueno Me Decepciona que no hubiera tenido la publicidad y promocion suficientes para que hubiera escalado varias posiciones en la billboard porque haber debutado #47 es bueno pero haberse quedado estancado en el #45 es una locura ademas MTV cometieron un error al no pasar los videos de ella, para mi lo que ella hizo no me parecio escandaloso, para como es la gente alla no me parecio nada para SHOK, pero la gente se la monta al que quiere.........Deberian cancelar los videos de BRITNEY SPEARS O CHRISTINA AGUILERA; Pero por mostrar una TETA, que va, pero bueno asi lo quisieron.

I love this song, and all the remixes, but this CD is terrible. It has "copy control" technology -- seems to be something new from the paranoid managers @ EMI Music. So, if you love to import your CDs onto your computer, like me, you can't do that with this CD. It won't play on your computer.

I think this kind of technology is absolutely disgusting! I paid for the CD!! If I want to import the songs to my computer for my own use, that's my right! This new technology also goes against many court cases stating that consumers are allowed to make copies of their music/movies for their own personal use. This CD with it's "copy control" takes that right away from me.

DO NOT BUY THIS CD!!

I just bought the CD at of all places "WALMART" and have not stopped playing track #2 yet!!!!! It is UPTEMPO, LATIN SPICY FLAVORED and HOT!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure if this song has been released officially in the USA but this is a Club Track to play in the clubs... Please... if you don't buy it for any other reason buy it to hear that HOT track 2 of the Peter Rauhofer remix!!!!!!!Pure Dance remix pleasure for sure!!!!!!!!

You can't stop thinking about how much this song stays in your mind as soon as you hear it. Granted it does talk about sexual acts and liberation for sex which possibly declined its airplay in the States, but it DEFINATELY has well-produced beats by Mr. Dallas Austin and also 2 other NON-LP remixes by Peter Rauhofer and Maurice Joshua. This is the Australian IMPORT release for the single. Check it out, esp if you're a JANET fan! Note that it is COPY-CONTROLLED (following the verge of cds made in Japan). But all you TRUE JDJ fans know that buying this single will ONLY keep her going. SO DO WHAT YOU KNOW IS RIGHT AND BUY IT! ^_^ You won't regret it.

janet. Rarely has songs like these. Its really POP oriented and it is so damn catchy! It really is!. If you havent hert this Janet song yet DO LISTEN TO IT! Its not like a "Velvety rope" song so yeah! it is damn catchy!

There was a small scratch on it, but the song I bought the CD for worked fine! And for 69 cents I can't complain!
