When Boyz II Men came out with Motown last year, they definitely went back to their roots, despite being trimmed down to a trio a few years ago. But, they had a very strong rendition of Smokey Robinson's Tracks Of My Tears which was a big surprise. Their latest single, Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) welcomes a new generation into the heart and minds of what The Temptations made during their success of Motown back in the 60's. The trio of Wanya, Nathan and Shawn bring in a nice style of matching the sounds of what great soul music really is like. Although the appeal didn't exactly match Tracks Of My Tears, it sounds pretty good. I just honestly hope though the guys can do something original and fresh soon, rather than cover songs.
