Melynda Fleury was born so long ago she prefers not to remember the year. The mother of three active children, that keep her busy and amused, her books reflect her life. Although she is now blind as a bat she tries to focus on the funny side of life. Her first and second books, Just Nonsense and More Nonsense, have hit number 1 on the charts in family humor and women's humor. Her newest book True Nonsense has been said to be funnier than the first two. If you are looking for a fun light hearted read these are the books for you.

Fleury's book is a compilation of a number of postings on her blog. Whoever edited it did an outstanding job of selecting those postings that would appeal to a wide range of readers.
Wit as well as wisdom greet the reader throughout. Those who enjoy stories about families will find much here that will entertain them and that will, most probably, bring to mind the foibles of their own families.
"Just Nonsense" explores many of the nooks and crannies of contemporary life and a woman's experience of it. Readers who enjoy animal stories will not be disappointed. Nor those who are raising young children or working with others in an office.
Fleury has a fine sense of the ridiculous and an ability to delight in human folly and poke fun at it. But her book also explores human tragedy--her own fight with diabetes--and the slugging we all do at times through the hard periods of our lives.
I recommend Fleury's book to all who'd like to lie back on a lounge chair, sip an iced tea, enjoy the summer breeze, and simply let themselves enter a world where all is grist for the laughter mill.

I sort of know Melinda, as she has responded to a few of my tweets. She's hilarious, this book is hilarious, and if you don't buy it, you're dumb. Sorry. It's true.
