Very enjoyable!, July 1, 2002

I've seen Pete Muller play live in NYC several times. His songs can grab you with a story, and then keep you there with some fabulous piano playing and jazz-meets-folk style arrangements. Lisa Batten shines on backing vocals, and Ben Hoyumpa provides some great percussion. Catherine Popper's bass playing also compliments the arrangements well. Favorite songs for me on the CD are: Run Away, Not That Man, Danielle, Choose What You Amplify and Chasing Another Man's Dream. If you're looking to listen to songs that tell interesting stories, and you want to hear some hot piano playing, check out this CD.
