5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite childhood book, April 25, 2008
By
This review is from: Just Plain Maggie
This is a good book. It's a little dated now as it took place in the 50's or 60's. Even when I read it in the 80's it was getting dated but there are things kids can still relate to-not quite fitting in with bunkmates because of different backgrounds, homesickness, the bunk bully, having fun at camp. One of the dated things is that Maggie's bunkmate Julie has divorced parents and that was uncommon. Kids will still enjoy this book-there are lots of fun adventures and twists and turns.

5.0 out of 5 stars It made me want to go to summer camp!, July 14, 2008
This review is from: Just Plain Maggie
I read this book over and over as a child--it made me wish I could go and spend the summer at camp! Maggie deals with a lot of new friends, with a wide range of personalities...and learns to handle her own feelings, too. This fun story taught me a lot about getting along with others.
