Book Description

Harlequin Blaze April 1, 2003
Time for a little adult play! Jill Sheldon believes in having fun every day. That's why she works at Just 4 Play, an adult toy store. What's more fun than helping people enjoy sex? And if there was ever someone in need of some playtime, it's her hot new boss, Mitch Landry. He's determined to close the place. So she propositions him -- give her one month to demonstrate the value of the store...on him. After all, there's a lot of pleasure she can pack into thirty days!

Mitch knows how to have fun -- he just has too many responsibilities to indulge himself. Yet when the seductive Jill makes her tantalizing proposal, he's tempted. She won't change his mind, but he can enjoy himself for one month, can't he? What starts out as a steamy little game soon turns into so much more, and there's no way he can stop playing. So he'll have to change the stakes to something along the lines of forever....

Harlequin Blaze #82, April, 2003.

More About the Author

Cindi Myers became one of the most popular people in eighth grade when she and her best friend wrote a torrid historical romance and circulated it among their peers. Fame was short-lived, however; the English teacher confiscated the manuscript and advised her to concentrate on learning to properly diagram a sentence. From this humbling beginning, she has gone on to write more than three dozen novels that have been translated into more than a dozen languages and distributed all over the world. Her books have been praised for their emotion, humor and realistic characters. She writes stories about relationships that matter, whether the subject is friendship, families, or the love between a man and a woman.

4.0 out of 5 stars Impressive, April 15, 2003

Arwen "AKA Arwen" (Austin, TX, United States) - See all my reviews
(VINE VOICE)    (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Just 4 Play (Harlequin Blaze, No 82) (Mass Market Paperback)
Julie wants to keep her job. Mitch wants to turn her sex toy shop into a restaurant. She decides to demonstrate the products on her sexy boss to convince him to keep the store open. Neither of them reckoned on the results! Julie Sheldon first appeared in "It's a Guy Thing" which I plan on looking for!

This book was a very fun read with loveable characters! Set in Boulder, CO Ms. Myers used the town to her advantage. I live in Denver so was able to visualize her setting easily.

My only complaint was that I wanted to see more or less of the secondary characters. :-) I kept getting involved with them as well.

I will be looking for more of Ms. Myers' books!

4.0 out of 5 stars torrid contemporary, April 12, 2003
This review is from: Just 4 Play (Harlequin Blaze, No 82) (Mass Market Paperback)
Mitch Landry sees his inheritance of a shop willed to him from his recently deceased uncle as an opportunity to open up a Chinese Restaurant and close Just 4 Play. Besides wanting to manage a five-star restaurant, the prim and proper Mitch feels a lingerie and sex toy shop is unsuited for a real businessman.

Jill Sheldon enjoys life to the fullest, as she believes girls just want to have fun. Jill believes her place of employment Just 4 Play needs to stay open not just because she needs a job, but because she believes this store provides a real service helping people fulfill their fantasies. She refuses to sit idly by as Mr. No Fun serves up lo mein noodles as Jill plans to become Mitch's mentor in the art of enjoying life starting with a seduction that will leave Landry dreaming of something besides chop suey.

This tale is hotter than Szechwan style food as the lead couple heats the sheets. The story line is often amusing and the secondary cast adds depth especially in the shop. Though Mitch takes responsibility to a degree that is irritating (get a life bud) and Jill takes irresponsibility to a degree that is also exasperating (you're an adult sweetheart), together these two minuses multiply into a positively engaging sexy novel.
