A must have for a fan of JEM. Its nice to have the non-disc tracks offered on the singles and this one is no exception. Californa Sun is fun and playful. I would also recommend, They Pt 1 cd single for the song Maybe I'm Amazed, aswell. Both song are different in sound, feel and make up then what is offered on the full length cd. If you just want the song and nothing else matters then this will be all right but I would recommend the full length disc anyway. It has a lot to offer and I'm sure you'll find some other tracks that you will like.

I heard this song playing in a Starbucks in Boston, Massachusetts nearly a year ago. Fortunately, the store was not real busy and one of the employees tracked down the title and performer.

The message in this song is timeless and the music is mesmerizing. If we understood that life is "Just a Ride," we wouldn't suffer so much.
