Book Description

Small Business Series March 1996
Let a seasoned pro show you how to use the secrets of successful selling--even if you've had little or no previous experience

You're a small business owner with a product or service you believe in, but since you're not ready to hire a sales staff, you have to do the selling yourself. Author and sales pro Ted Tate knows your situation because he's been there himself, more than once. Just Sell It! is designed to give non-salespeople, who cannot afford years of on-the-job training, the tools and skills they need--quickly and in plain English. This invaluable book reveals the selling secrets that successful professional salespeople know and use everyday.

You'll learn:
* How to find and qualify those prospects that are worth your time and energy
* How to get appointments with busy, hard-to-reach decision-makers
* How to make sales presentations that will make your prospects eager to buy
* How to use time-tested, proven strategies for closing the sale
* How to use effective telemarketing techniques for selling products and services

And hundreds of other tips, techniques, and psychological maneuvers that will give you an edge in all kinds of selling situations. What's more, you'll learn how to maximize the other, not-so-obvious benefits of being your own salesperson, like learning about your clients and your competition.

Just Sell It! is an indispensable, money-making, time-saving guide, whether you're just starting out, or just want to sharpen your selling skills with lessons from a pro.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Book!, February 6, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Just Sell It!: Selling Skills for Small Business Owners (Small Business Series) (Paperback)
I've been in business for myself for 2+ years after +/-15 years in corporate america. This book has helped me tremendously. It teaches the basics of sales for those of us who have always said "I'm not a salesperson." I've read Ziglar, Hopkins and Schiffman among others, but this is the book I've been searching for. It is very encouraging and I give this my highest recommendation for the entrepreneur without developed sales skills.

5.0 out of 5 stars It really is a "complete sales course between two covers"., October 19, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Just Sell It!: Selling Skills for Small Business Owners (Small Business Series) (Paperback)
This book really gives step by step information on the selling process. I like the fact also that this book is easy reading, right to the point, every chapter. Being somewhat new to the selling process this was a big help.

The author really knows his stuff, he shares all kinds of great selling strategies and techniques. It's really just chocked full of new information on the selling process. I reread it all the time. I also enjoyed the chapters on time management and personal goal setting.

Anyone who sells can't miss getting good information from this book. It's just great! I hope he writes a follow-up book soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully written., March 15, 2007
This review is from: Just Sell It!: Selling Skills for Small Business Owners (Small Business Series) (Paperback)
I'm not a sales person by any training, but I enjoyed reading Ted Tate's "Just Sell It" book. It's written in simple, easy to understand terms that make you just want to get out there and try it! It seems his book takes away some of the fear of rejection faced by pointing out the need to be assertive not aggressive with your customers. This book is essential for running a small business and getting the orders you need to keep your business moving forward.
