I got this book as a free read and finished it feeling like I should still demand a refund. I really detested the story.

The heroine, if you can call her that, starts the book in an abusive relationship, which I did not buy for a second. It didn't feel like she stayed out of fear or because she had been manipulated or verbally abused, but merely because they shared a flat that had negative equity. This supposedly abused and downtrodden character thinks nothing of running off on a three day trip that her partner did not want her to go on and immediately hooks up with Daniel, our Hero. Right.

The relationship between Daniel and Nicole is nonexistent to me. Instalove based on nothing. The abusive partner is quickly dispatched after Nicole is rescued by Daniel and is she grateful? Does she thank him and start a relationship or even just become friends with him or even send him a small thank you gift?? No of course not she (and this is SPOILER heavy from here on)

Ditches him, leaves a note demanding he not contact her, while pregnant with his baby, which he obviously doesn't deserve to know about. I'm not actually clear on why she left him, it was either that she wasn't good enough or that he was a millionaire playboy and couldn't be trusted. Who knows?

What follows is Daniel ending up on a reality show similar to the bachelor, which is such an absurd sub plot I won't even get into it, and then reconnecting with Nicole several months later. Nicole, wonderful character that she is, blames Daniel for everything, lies about being in a relationship while still stringing him along and still keeps the baby secret.

I won't say this book was awful, but it was not good. The main characters are not relatable and are infuriating. The story is way too long. I couldn't believe the reading progress on my kindle- at 30% I felt like the book should be over. I no longer cared about the characters and finished simply because I have a hard time leaving a book unfinished. I got this book for free and am so glad I didn't pay for it. I will not be reading anything else in this series. I'm glad I finished it and can move on now. Don't waste your time.

A very enjoyable read. Well rounded characters firmly placed in the real world- I could very much relate to them. Great pacing too- I read the last third of the book all in one go!! Looking forward to the next instalment

This is one of those books that has you hooked from the first page. It's beautifully written with great descriptions and a pull you in plot. The characters really came to life for me.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read. I can't wait to buy the next part of the series.
