5.0 out of 5 stars BRILLIANT
What a great foil to the constant barrage of relationship books out there. Danielle's thick headed denial offers some of the funniest and most brilliantly wrong advice ever! I laughed all the way through. I especially loved the handy pie chart explaining the lipstick on his collar (I don't want to give it all away but giving CPR to a circus clown is at 53%)...

2.0 out of 5 stars Sarcasm doesn't equal humor
On the upside, the book is a very easy and quick read, and it cost less than $2 on Amazon when I bought it, so not much was at stake.

That said, I was very disappointed. The entire book is just sarcasm. While sarcasm can be effective, there has to be more substance in a humor book. Cindy Chupak's Between Boyfriends Book effectively combined insight, sarcasm,...

On the upside, the book is a very easy and quick read, and it cost less than $2 on Amazon when I bought it, so not much was at stake.

That said, I was very disappointed. The entire book is just sarcasm. While sarcasm can be effective, there has to be more substance in a humor book. Cindy Chupak's Between Boyfriends Book effectively combined insight, sarcasm, and personality to create a bittersweet collection that sometimes made me laugh, and sometimes made me indecisive about laughing and crying. Whitman fails miserably in that regard. Her "humor" is shallow, formulaic, and predictable. By the 30th page, I knew what was coming, and it was no longer funny.

Ill only share one more bit of advice Danielle offers - when reaching out to a guy who's been avoiding you, "Alcohol does two things. It eliminates fear and brings your true feelings to the surface. So make sure to have a few drinks before picking up the phone. "

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book!, January 23, 2007
This review is from: He Just Thinks He's Not That Into You: The Insanely Determined Girl's Guide to Getting the Man that She Wants (Paperback)
Sorry, Jesse, but you got it totally wrong. It's so obvious that this book is a PARODY. Did you really expect to get serious relationship advice from a book where the cover is of a man hog-tied and screaming with a woman standing on top of him? I actually laughed out loud reading it. What a refreshing change from all those recycled relationship books.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it, March 11, 2009
I really do not suggest reading this book ... it will just get you into more trouble for your relationships. Even if you saved your relationship by this book, I don't think you will be very happy about it either..
Just don't buy it, I read the first 3 pages and putted it down.

This is a quite funny take on this series of books. Easy to read and made me laugh out loud.

Fun Book! I rarely laugh out loud while reading alone, but I did while reading this book. It would make a good un-valentine gift for a girlfriend (or stalker...).

I was disappointed in this book, it was more of a joke book rather than something real. More of comedy book. I should have looked more into it before I bought it.

2.0 out of 5 stars So so, not brilliant., December 3, 2008

It's very casual and girlish. Even more casual than "He's just Not that into you"

she comes up with some crazy excuses for men's behaviours, ( You have to admit sometimes she is right )

May favourite part is writing about how to meet your Celeb, ( I love that part, I think George Clooney will love someone to jump out of the wardrobe at him )

It's just ok, i'm not gonna scream "go out and buy it" I think it was too short as well. I want a really long read.

Sorry Danielle

I wouldn't even call this a book- it's a collection of comments that are insulting to the human race. Awful. Just awful. And the person who wrote this book doesn't even deserve to be called an author... she's just a loser "advice giver and romantic idealist." Sweetheart- this book and these thoughts of yours are the reasons why you have never been married. What a waste of trees, paper, and my money. Refund please.
