Varese and Fuel 2000 Records presents "Just for a Thrill", Featuring Bill Wyman & His All Star Band, The Rhythm Kings with another hopefully number one hit on the UK charts again...Wyman the former Rolling Stones bass player has come up with a terrific formula for Jazz, Blues and Rock...some are new many are old favorites...with some of the best of the best in the business Gary Brooker, Georgie Fame, Chris Stainton, Terry Taylor, Graham Broad, Nick Payn, Frank Mead,Mark Knopfler, Mike Sanchez, Albert Lee, Tim Cansfield, Bruce Winston, Axel Zwingenberger, Ian Siegal, Terry Taylor, Beverley Skeete, Frank Ricotti, Sid Gould, Chris Stainton and of course Bill Wyman on bass.

In alphabetical order and with an all-star guest cast are the 16 selections:

CADILLAC WOMAN (unknown)

Many of the tunes are screaming hot...with Beatles, Ray Charles and Joe Turner interwoven within each track this is a sure fire winner...in all genres that keep the American public wanting more is that Motown Sound and early jazz...don't pass this one up...it will fill the void you've been craving...just the way you like 'em!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Great CD, September 4, 2006
This review is from: Just for a Thrill (Audio CD)
I first saw this CD at the local county library--had no idea Bill Wyman had ever recorded anything outside of the Stones. What a great CD-lots of great Rhythym and Blues by primarily English artists and tributes to George Harrison, Ray Charles and Janis. Terrific listening!!

Didn't know what Bill was up to solo lately - heard this funked out version of "Taxman" on Blues Radio Mobile and had to find out. Got the CD - wow. Continue to be blown away, every listen. Powerful, wonderful, toe tappin', finger snappin' - the vocals, the bass, the sax, the .... everything. Get this great collection of talent and enjoy. 5 Stars. Five.

this CD is fabulous! It is the hottest version of "Hit the Road, Jack" I have ever heard! Bill Wyman shows he does not need the Rolling Stones to be great.
