The songs are good, and the background music is great mainstream jazz. Her vocal range is wide; her low notes are wonderfully rich and full bodied, her voice strong and smooth without, with an occasional tremolo similar to that of some French singers whom I also liked very much.

I've seen Lucie several times on Broadway and she's always been one of my favorite performers. (I especially loved her in "They're Playin' Our Song".) This CD doesn't disappoint--she has a wonderful voice. I look forward to future projects from Ms. Arnaz.

Lucie is just wonderful, and has such a beautiful voice! I loved her mothers work as well as an actress, and wish I had only had the chance to meet such a sweet, and talented woman..Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz left behind a legacy in their daughter, and Lucie, you should be PROUD of the work on this CD, your voice is just beautiful!

It seems odd: six 5 star and two 1 star reviews; nothing in-between! I stumbled onto this CD and certainly don't consider myself a big fan of the Arnaz clan, but have a healthy respect for her mother's talent. There are a lot of great singers out there, and I would not claim that Lucie is the best, but this is a very enjoyable recording. A fantastic collection of songs, excellently sung, beautifully arranged! She, and all involved, should be proud, and I do recommend buying it; few will be disappointed.

This is a great collection of songs, sung with sophistication, wit and elegance. Arnaz' vocal style is brassy, tender and asssured all at the same time. If you love the songs of Tin Pan Alley, you will find this cd a real delight. As for the extremely cruel "review" by the "music fan" - there is not one valid musical point made in their assessment to indicate they had any other goal than to trash the artist by hurling insults at her. They also demonstrate a nastiness about them that makes the fact that Ms. Arnaz' album didn't please them not only a foregone conclusion, but a compliment.

I am surprised, I didn't know that Lucie could sing. And sing she does! She has a wonderful "quality" to her voice, and I can't wait to buy the CD. Only wish that the samples were longer.

To those previous so called music critics who bashed this cd, you can crawl back under the troll bridge from wence you came. This cd is an amazing array that showcases Lucie's own musical style. I love the natural trill in her voice. It is just one of the things that appeals to my ear the most. What I really love is how she puts the music across. A good singer is a storyteller in my opinion and she does that extremely well. It is completely unfair to compare or expect to compare Lucie to her famous parents. She is her own talent and thus should be seen that way. If you cannot see it that way, then your biased opinion holds no weight with me.

I first became aware of Lucie's vocal talents when I was lucky enough to see her in the original cast of "They're Playing Our Song". That was my "virgin" Broadway musical, and it hooked me for life. I've always wanted to see Lucie perform live in a cabaret format, and was thrilled to find this CD. You'll be pleasantly surprised by what you find here.......a very talented vocalist and a thoroughly enjoyable CD that leaves you wanting more. I still hope to see her live again, but at least I've got this CD until then.

This debut CD by Lucie Arnaz is outstanding. She sings beautifully mixing love songs with jazz pieces. Her voice is amazing and the CD is a must have.

I have ordered this CD only because I am a fan of hers, as well as her family. I have been fortunate enough to be involved in theatre all my life. I have been in "They're Playing My Song" and have listened to her CD a million times over. I find her as well as her voice very likabe and approachable. I am now involved In "Grace and Glorie". If Miss Arnaz happens to be checking these messages I would love a contact from her since I am having the usual jitters in finding Gloria's character. Once again, I feel it is a priviledge for the musical theatre community to have someone of her talent and stature. Remember, she doesn't have to do this. She LOVES it.
