Book Description

Secretly wanting her—no problem. Her not-so-secretly wanting him—big trouble.

The Bradfords, Book 3

There’s only one problem with the woman Jason “Mac” Gordon wants: his best friend’s little sister is off limits. Way off limits, and too young and innocent for the likes of him. From past experience, he’s learned to hide his not-so-nice preferences from the nice girls he seems to attract. That definitely includes the woman he’s always thought of as a sister. At least until recently.

Sara Bradford always gets what she wants—which is partly Mac’s fault. After all, he helped spoil her. So she has no intention of taking his no for an answer on anything—least of all his refusal to sleep with her. He thinks she’s too innocent? Fine. She’ll simply get un-innocent and show Mac that she wants him—the good, the bad and the nipple clamps.

When Mac’s plan to drive her away works too well, he’s forced to follow her to a tropical paradise, determined to make sure she doesn’t find her wild side with anyone but him. Once she gets a real taste of what he likes, he’s sure everything will go back to normal.

That’s until he discovers a slight kink, er, flaw in his logic…

Warning: Contains hot sex at the beach, kinky online shopping—and yes, cotton-candy-flavored body powder does exist.

Erin Nicholas has been reading and writing romantic fiction since her mother gave her a romance novel in high school and she discovered happily-ever-after suddenly went a little beyond glass slippers and fairy godmothers! She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!). 4.0 out of 5 stars A surprisingly good treat! September 17, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
My first Erin Nicholas book was certainly a delightful surprise. I came across this title when I entered the Samhain Publishing website on a whim. The hot cover itself made me salivate over the book, and in the end the book synopsis was enough to lure me away from my HUGE to-be-read pile and indulge in this tale which enchanted me on so many levels.

At first, when I started on the book I thought this would be the typical romance where the forbidden younger sister of your best friend is taboo forever, and the illicit longings that still continue to rage the hero no matter how much he tries to prevent those feelings finally take a turn and they would end up having wall-banging sex, some trivial problem would crop up now and again until they attain their happily ever after. But this story offered so much more than just your typical erotica romance. The sex scenes were hot but did not take the center stage of the novel, which made me appreciate the encounters between the two more.

This is the 3rd book in the The Bradfords series by the author. The Bradfords family comprises of Sam, Jessica and Sara of which Sara is the youngest and thus the child who was cosseted most by the rest and Sam's best friends Jason McDonald Gordon (Mac), Kevin and Dooley. Sara's mother had walked out when she had been a baby and her father had been killed when he had interrupted a burglary at Jessica's apartment when Sara had just been 10 years old. Since then, Sara had been taken care of Sam and Jessica and Sam's circle of friends who were as protective of her as they would be of their own family. Now 25 years old, Sara is determined that she is going to make Mac and her together forever a reality, even if it has to be her that has to take the first step.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic end to a great series! January 2, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
My Thoughts: With Just My Type we have arrived at Book #3, the final instalment of the Bradfords series and the one I have discovered this series through. I've read Just My Type not knowing it was the final instalment of the series, but since the novels are stand alone stories, I was not lost without having read the previous two books (but I would recommend reading the series in order just for the additional details one can appreciate if the characters from previous novels make an appearance).

Just My Type is Sara's story. Sara is the baby of the family: not only her older sister and brother have coddled her and made her life easy and protected, but their friends, Sam's macho guy friends made Sara's every wish and whim come true, she is the princess of "the litter", everyone's baby. So it's understandable that after some time at around 23 she has had enough of it and wants to be taken seriously and treated as an adult. And most of all she wants Mac, one of her brother's best friends (who is also 13 years her senior) to see her as a woman. Little does she know that Mac has been fighting his attraction to little Sara for some time now, because not only is she like a little sister to him, but he knows Sam would skin him alive and then kill him if he touched his little sister. And if those two weren't discouraging enough, he is 13 years her senior and he likes sex kinky and sometimes rough. Which simply does not go together with little Princess Sara. Well he couldn't be more wrong...

5.0 out of 5 stars ERIN IS STELLAR December 4, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Yet again, Erin has out done herself. This is by far my favorite book of this author. I finished the book then immediately went back and re-read it. These characters inspired me to begin writing a new book. The passion, the tender moments, the convinceability here was STELLAR! I love the male banter between the men. Had me bustin up laughing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good girl makes naughty! September 1, 2011
By cheem27
Format:Kindle Edition
After reading just two Erin Nicholas books now, I've determined that she has a talent for writing amazing sexual tension. Her hero's (at least the two I've read) are tortured in the best possible ways by their heroines, and it's that type of build up in a romance novel that hooks me every time.

In Just My Type, Sara is a 25-year-old in love with her brother's 37-year-old best friend, Mac Gordon. The two have practically been brother and sister for the 13 years they've known each other, but both secretly have romantic, lusty feelings they've ignited in each other more recently. And while both would love to explore what's happening between them, they've taken great measures not to act on them, for the sake of not ruining the friendships they've built in their close knit circle. Plus, Mac harbors regrets from a past bad experience with a "nice" girl like Sara, and has made it his mission since to be only with women who are the opposite of "nice". But Sara decides she's had enough of hiding her feelings, and decides to initiate a kiss from Mac at her brother Sam's wedding reception.

When the wedding kiss backfires on Sara, she hops a plane to the Virgin Islands in hopes that she'll come back more "wanton" for Mac, since that is apparently what he looks for in women, not the innocence that she embodies.

Feeling like he caused Sara's impromptu vacation, Mac takes it upon himself to run after her with the intention of bringing her home. What happens after he finds her turns not only Mac and Sara's worlds upside down, but also everyone they love.

After leaving the island, Sara ends up living in Mac's hometown about 45 minutes outside of Omaha (where she's from and her friends and family live).
