About the Author
Michael Broderick was born in a dreary town near New York. From time immemorial he was much more interested in his sister's Barbie doll then any toy cars or football. I'm only a recent viewer of Broderick's work, and it's a refreshing change. On the one end of the spectrum of gay erotic art we have Tom of Finland, who defined fantasy men for a generation, and Stephen and The Hun, with what is often referred to as the men of death. Pecs of death. Cock of death. Body of death. Or at least among readers of Ethan Mordden. =)
And then at the other hand there are the twink-style drawing, seen in the House of Morecock, or Let's Hear it for the Boys. Closer to reality, but, to my eye, a less-attractive or more limited reality (and I admit, that may well be a minority opinion with the gay community at large).
Broderick, on the other hand, strikes a happy medium. In part this is because he focuses predominantly on daddy-boy relationships (younger men attracted to older men, and vice versa). So he incorporates more types of men from a wider range of gay subcultures. Bears, daddies, twinks, men of color (although there could definitely be more of the latter, Michael!).
And his art is sexy, arousing, everything you expect from erotica, without getting worn down by the art, like others I have reviewed in the past.
In short, I'm glad I bought this book. An excellent addition to my collection.

This book is great if you like homoerotic artwork. It makes a perfect coffee table book! My only complaint is how short the book is.
