Until someone has the common sense to re-release all of Randy VanWarmer's Bearsville recordings on CD, this Anthology will have to do. This Anthology is better than the "Best of" collection as the Anthology is strictly music from the out of print Bearsville recordings...most of which were previously only available on vinyl. The music on the CD is incredible and withstands the test of time...why Randy VanWarmer didn't become a superstar is beyond me. But, his music lives on in this collection. What are you waiting for, buy it...you won't regret it!

This album which has now been made into a CD is a master peice work of feelings by Randy Van Warmer. The letters on the first song, "Just when I needed you most" can be beyond the comparison to songs like "I'm leaving on a jet plane" or "By the time I get to Phoenix". It is one CD that you want in your collection.

This is no illusion. You ARE seeing clearly. You must get this CD for this reason alone! Experience the wide gambit of Randy's songwriting--from the popular 70's ballad "Just When I Needed You Most" to the new wave-ish "Suzie Found A Weapon". You will not be disappointed! Yay!

This single was his most popular U.S. hit. He wrote it in the 70s, when he was only 18 years old. I notice that many of his releases are out of stock on Amazon. Unfortunately, his passing will probably cause some of them to be re-released, so I'd watch for new availabilities. What a great voice. Just thinking about the song can bring tears to my eyes.

This man died too soon!
We all know Randy van Warmer from the hits he wrote for others, but it was far too infrequently that he got kudos on his own. And, all the important tunes are here; the songs that you will recall easily (but usually some else's version!).
This man was a huge talent & this CD is essential, but I urge any who have read this far to seek out his other music as well.
I have all off his work on vinyl, but was dismayed to discover that this is virtually the only album out there for those of us who love his music.
If I were the music coordinator for this album (& I AM a music coordinator) I would have included more of his quirky, off kilter stuff; the music that perhaps you don't think of when you think of Randy van Warmer, a sort of "the exception proves the rule"- such as "Like a Rock" & "Suzi got a Weapon"(which ARE here), but also "Amen": "Send us your money-
we will pray for you.

the more you WILL be blessed.

I am not sure whether it is the song I think it is is. However, the song I thought is this song, was sung by a woman.

I first saw a TV clip where she was seated looking through the window in a train singing the song. Part of the lyrics I remember go as follows:

This is all I remember about the song. I try searching the websites, trying all the words and sentences from the above-mentioned lyrics hoping to find the song, but all in vain.

If you know the title of this song and or the singer, please let me know. If possible, how I can buy the CD/Tape/Video/DVD whetever.

I heard Tim McGraw sing this once on the radio and have yet to find the CD. Does anyone out there know where i could find Tim McGraw's rendition of "just when i needed you most"?
