6 year old has learned to read this past year and chooses the "read by myself) option. My 4 year old loves for it to read to him as he follows along.

These are such wonderful apps -- they've really been a nice complement to my 3 y/o's reading of the paperbacks we have at home. My son cannot get enough of them. They're also really affordable, considering the price of children's books on the kindle fire. Keep 'em coming!

It was back in the 1970s in Haddonfield, NJ, on a beautiful sunny day. Along the street filled with dozens of little shops, including the Ol' 5 & 10 store. My grandmother, whom I was taught to call Nanny, and I, went strolling along the sidewalk looking at the items we could see through the windows, occasionally stopping in one or another. We finally went into my favorite 5 & 10 store. And as she looked around, I went directly to the books and toys section. She always knew where to find me. I wouldn't dare go off anywhere else, this was my joyful spot in the whole store. No other place in the store existed, except for where she was. And then it caught my eye, the book I would come to remember as one of the dearest treasures of my heart and memory of my day out shopping with Nanny. The original copy of the book I had has long been lost somewhere in between moves, but I have since bought another. And I love to read and share it with my mom every now and then. That day and the Little Critter - Just For You book are one of the many best memories I have to remember Nanny by. The story itself is so charmingly cute and I love that Little Critter. That little critter was me once upon a time. The app is so easy to use and works very well with my KINDLE FIRE. I give this story and app a AAA+++ and a whole lotta love. Thank you =*))

I had this book when I was a kid and loved it, so when I saw that I could get it on my kindle I didn't hesitate. My 3 year old son loves little critter books and loves to play on my kindle. I like how when you touch something it shows the word in print and says it. It also reads the book out loud, word by word as you touch them or you can read it yourself. I would definitely purchae more children's book apps like this!

Read yourself or have it read to you. Point to words ansd the word will be said. Point to the picture and the word will be displayed. Minigame of find the little critters in the book.

These are the best child story apps that I have seen so far.

My grandkids, 3 and 5, love these Little Critter books on Kindle. They're interactive and fun to listen to. I've purchased several for my Kindle. Little ones can relate to the lovable characters and adults can definitely relate to the humorous situations.

We had these books for our kids, now we have them for our grandkids. Have to find all the spiders, frogs and mice again. I love the stories and illustrations.

Would buy any additional that are released.

I purchased the paperback book many years ago for my daughter. Now she has two of her own, I decided to purchase the kindle version for them, and it's so awesome, fun, and cute. My granddaughter loves it!!!

I loved this book growing up! Now my son can read it on a tablet! Never saw that one coming when I was a kid!>. I love how he can point at different things and it will say what that object is.
