This review is from: Justice Hall (Audio Cassette)
Our protagonists, Russell and Holmes, are shocked to find a long-lost colleague from the Holy Land collapsed at their Sussex cottage door one evening, clad in unfamiliar disguise and begging for their immediate assistance. More shocks follow: the revelation of long-suspected alter-egos, unsuspected relationships, and suspicious double-dealings pile one upon another in rapid succession at Justice Hall, one of England's premiere estates and the traditional seat of a family whose history extends back to the foundings of the monarchy itself. A duke who ironically doesn't want to be one follows in the line of succession from another such, and naturally, there are those about who would like nothing better than to relieve the reluctant new duke of his burdensome responsibilities. Sorting it all out falls to the Holmeses, of course. Which they accomplish, of course. But not before circumstances drive them from North America to the Continent and back again, in a swirl of intrigue amid the whirl of high society.
