This review is from: Justice League of America: Identity Crisis Classics Series 1: Green Arrow Action Figure (Toy)
I've long been a fan of Oliver Queen, the original (and best) hero to have the name Green Arrow. Over the years, I have bought Mego Green Arrows, "Super Powers" Green Arrows...heck, even the wacky "Total Justice" Green Arrow figure of Oliver's son, Connor. Yes, I am such a Green Arrow fan that I bought this "Identity Crisis" figure without ever seeing it in person; pre-ordered it from my comic shop. BIG MISTAKE. This figure is horrible. The head is actually square. That's right, SQUARE. The rest of the sculpting is amateurish at best; Green Arrow's face looks like a cartoon version of Gabby Hayes. The paint application is awful; for some reason Green Arrow was painted with RED LIPS! Must have been making out with Black Canary earlier in the day. Ad to all this the fact that this figure has a man-skirt...this is the worst Green Arrow figure of all time. There is one slight redeeming value: the bow that he comes with is really cool, but even that is flawed as it is the same height as the character! Yes, a six foot man carries a six foot bow! Would kind of make it hard to use in tight spaces. I can see it now, "Uh, could you please back up, Merlyn? I can't get a full pull on my bow here in the hallway. Ah, that's better... ." In summary, avoid this figure like the plague. The pictures of it online are very, very kind to it; it looks like garbage in person. DO NOT BUY!
