Justice League 1: Flash Action Figure

I've been getting DC Direct action figures for years, and while I've noticed that several of them have durability problems, primarily on small parts, this is the first time I've ever had a figure actually fall apart as I was removing it from the package. The shoulders on this figure are done in a ball-and-socket fashion, but at least in the unit I have, the socket isn't tight enough and the arm popped right out. I popped it back in easily enough, but I'm afraid to touch it now, lest it fall out again.

The figure looks quite good, however -- it's a good sculpt based on the current version of the character. The accessories are nice as well -- it comes with a base with multiple holes and a movable peg so you can stand the character anywhere on the base, and a Flash ring that pops open to reveal the costume inside, just like the Silver Age Flash used. Probably due to the spring-loaded mechanism, the ring isn't made of the more pliable, one-size fits all plastic that DC Direct uses for the rings that come with the Green Lantern or Legion of Super-Heroes figures, but it's forgivable.

It's a very nice figure -- just be careful with it.

This is a cool Flash- much nicer than the Mattel version. He moves every which way and is well detailed and propotioned. I bought this for my four year son for Christmas, and he loves it. One of our one year old twins managed to pull an arm off (poor Flash!), but it popped right back into place. The others in this series look great too.

I actully got this fig the day it came out and I never had any trouble with it falling apart or anything he is still on my shelf with the rest the of the justice league and of course still looks the coolest out of them all this is by far the best flash figure out right now if you are a dc fan pick it up!

I'm no DC comics fan, but I love to collect DC Direct figures, love the sculpts and everything. If you are a fan of the JLA or Wally West, you should pick this up!
