"I would recommend this book to anyone who likes James Patterson or books like his. I can't wait for the next book to come out." --Sandra Labella, Amazon reviewer
"I think this is the final in the series. Without giving anything away, the end at first was a complete letdown. Then as I thought through it, it almost made no sense to end it any other way. Risky, but pulled off really well. I think if Tom Clancy crossed genres it would look something like this. Well done." --Roy Bartle
"Suspense, thriller with a perfect ending, leaving me wanting more. An on the edge of your seat, all night read. I most certainly will be reading "Dream On." --Sheri Wilkinson, Sandwich, IL

About the Author
Aaron Patterson is the author of the WJA series. He lives in Boise Idaho with his family, Soleil, Kale, and Klayton.
I loved this book. I had downloaded his first book Dreams my accident. I thought that I was getting James Patterson and just started reading and loved the book. So when I finished the first book I went on to this the 2nd and it was just as good as the first. He is very much like James Patterson one of my favorite writers. I didn't want to put the book down, there was always something going on. The characters are great you feel you know them and like them. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes James Patterson or books like his. I can't wait for the next book to come out.
This was an exciting book - I could hardly put it down. Some places could have used some more development, I was confused in some places and it took me a little time figuring out where we were in the story. Adding the details of how the storyline came about would have been useful and would have made the book a little longer to enjoy.
The only things lacking in this violent comic book are the illustrations & word bubbles. Total disregard for science. Stereotyped characters. Disjointed & sloppy anything-goes story line. Fantasy gadgets. Cruel & amoral acts carried out by the main character in the name of justice. This is not the stuff of even mediochre novels. This is a bad book. It is aimed at a person with a mental age of 10 or less with violent tendencies. I read it to the end in spite of my rising nausea because (1) I'd paid for it and (2) I kept hoping that somewhere near the end the author might come up with a surprise to pull it together and save his book from filing as literary trash; but no. I regret my decision to have finished it.
There is potential for a good story in this book, but it never quite feels cohesive. One of the key basic plot turns does not reveal or segue gracefully....it is fairly abrupt and this reader was left with the desire to re-read the section to see if I missed something the first time around. I wanted to put it down and stop reading, but I kept going hoping it would get better...instead it got more unbelievable. The author then moved into creating almost unrealistic tools the characters would use ...spoiler alert....travel machine? bullets that shoot material that make the blood harden instantly? Really? Not much depth to some of the main characters either. I did not finish this book.
So poorly edited was this book (at least in the Kindle edition) that it almost distracted from the many ridiculous premises . On many occasions I had to re-read lines to make out the intended sense. You wouldn't know that I hate to be picky, but most other editors know when to use the word "than" instead of "then". The plot started out as a standard thriller, but ended up half-way through the book turning into more of a second rate science fiction than thriller. The prose varies from Harlequin romance sickly sweet (I touched her soft shoulder), to comic book heroic. Maybe I misunderstood the reviews. Is this a book for young readers?
I started this book this afternoon, and I am so glad I made a meal that only required me to dump stuff in a pot, as I got entirely, completely, and pleasantly, LOST! I looked at the screen and it was daylight, I looked up, and it was dark! It was exciting, heart-wrenching, fast paced and explosive! At many points, I could not click the page fast enough, and my heart was at full race. I consider myself a pretty savvy mystery reader, and can usually figure out the whodoneit, the story connections, and how things might end up, but not this time! It is also apparent that Mr. Patterson has absolutely no regard for the state of a lady's makeup, as some of the very early scenes had my mascara in full run. I have no choice but to, very quickly, purchase the other books in this, and any other series, by this fabulous writer. I am an instant fan.
Some of the time frames seemed very "off". The explosion, hospital stay, moving to a new residence....all in ONE day? Man kidnapped for a year, then picks up right where he left off and no one seems to notice he's been gone??? Also some of the grammar is wrong, for instance...."then", when "than" should be used.
I started reading this book no knowing what to expect. I had not read anything by Aaron Patterson. I was absolutely and completely drawn into this book. It is an amazing read. I hated when I had to put it down. I had it in front of me every spare moment. Patterson takes the reader on a twisting, roller-coaster ride and keeps you interested in the story from beginning to end. The parallel plots are woven together nicely. I cared about the characters. I was scared for them, cried for them, laughed at them and cheered for them. I read a lot of mystery/suspense/action type novels. Patterson has a permanent place on my list of must-read authors. I am excited to read the next book.
Aaron Patterson is the author of the best-selling WJA series, as well as two Digital Shorts: 19 and The Craigslist Killer. He was home-schooled and grew up in the west. Aaron loved to read as a small child and would often be found behind a book, reading one to three a day on average. This love drove him to want to write, but he never thought he had the talent. He wrote Sweet Dreams, the first book in the WJA series, in 2008. Airel is his first teen series, and plans for more to come are already in the works. He lives in Boise, Idaho with his family, Soleil, Kale and Klayton.
