Book Description

Praise for Poetic Justice:
Honestly, this ranks as one of the best regency romances I have ever read. I read it a few years ago and when I found a copy of it, I bought it and hung on to it.

Poetic Justice
won the Romantic Times Certificate of Excellence!

Overview:
A play manuscript written in Shakespeare's own hand! Between rogue rare-books dealer John Dryden and his prize is an obsessed librarian who wants to destroy it... and the heiress who can lead him to it, but only if he's willing to risk his life, his freedom, and his loner's heart.

More Praise:

POETIC JUSTICE is a delightful, emotionally-satisfying story with the main focus being on the characters and their journeys towards love and trust.
Gracie Stanners

Well plotted, strong characters and real conflict combines for an entertaining read. I couldn't put it down.
Louise Behiel

Nonesuch Reviews

Rasley's Regencies have been compared to those of Carla Kelly and Loretta Chase-- elegantly written and with lively plots and characters.

**If you were looking for the Michael and Tatiana "prequel" to Poetic Justice, simply search under Royal Renegade.

**If you were looking for the story of Captain Lord Tressilian, check out The Reluctant Lady.

**
If you'd like to read about a girl who learns to be careful what she wishes for (but does get the hunky guy in the end), search for Charity Begins at Home. THIS IS A RITA-AWARD NOMINEE!
**If you like naval heroes, you might like my short sweet Valentine's novella, The Wilder Heart.

**If you were looking for Alicia's Kindle #1 bestselling women's fiction novel, simply search under The Year She Fell.

**If you were hoping for something shorter or spicier, check out my pennamed (Cesca Ross) erotic short story The Gift by Cesca Ross. But be warned, it's more graphic than the usual Regency story!

**If you were looking for my husband's books about Nepal, search for Light in the Mountains by Jeff Rasley. (Yes, two writers in the same family. Moodiness galore!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful and worth your time! January 8, 2012

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I found it to be a refreshing breeze in the regency genre; the focus was on the story and the characters not the dress or the dancing or the proprieties of society (or lack thereof) though these elements were present. The main characters were charming and not at all over-the-top in the obnoxious/annoying department as sometimes happens in these types of stories. Definitely worth your time! Also loved that it was clean.

4.0 out of 5 stars A reflection of her own amusement January 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
In many ways, this was a charming book. Well-researched and intelligent, the book concerns itself with characters who are outside the Regency romance norm. The hero and heroine, John and Jessica, share an interest in antique and rare books. Jessica's parents were collectors and she stands to inherit an important collection, and John is in the business of acquiring rare manuscripts. Jessica and John are both intelligent and educated, they reflect the attitudes of their time (rather than seeming like modern characters plunked down in a costume drama), and their characters are well-drawn and believable. I especially appreciated that here is a Regency romance with barely a duke or earl in sight. A very refreshing change from most Regency romances today that are knee-deep in nobility. My only quibble with the book is that despite its intelligence and charm, it is rather anemic in the romance department. I thought it needed something more--not sex, necessarily, just passion--to make me care about Jessica and John's romance more. Maybe it was that Jessica and John seemed to reserve their passion for the books they were trying to protect, but for whatever reason, I felt the romance was lacking, which made the last quarter of the book a bit of a letdown. Overall, though, I enjoyed the story, and it is a pleasure to read prose as beautifully written as this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Real Regency Romance January 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Poetic Justice is a romance set in the Regency period. It brings together a hero and heroine who have strong agendas, an interesting question about the 'real' author of Shakespeare's works and a surprise twist that keeps the reader guessing. It is a sweet romance, which is a very nice change from all the 5 alarm fires that seem to permeate romance today.

well plotted, strong characters and real conflict combines for an entertaining read. I couldn't put it down.
