About the Author

Born in Stratford, Ontario, Justin first broke into the music industry when music manager Scooter Braun spotted his performances on YouTube and then joined forces with superstar Usher to sign thirteen-year-old Justin to a record deal with Island Def Jam Music Group.

Justin's latest number 1 album, Believe, came out in June 2012. It follows his number 1 Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, which was Justin's third number 1 debut in just 18 months. This incredible achievement makes Justin the youngest artist in Billboard history to have a holiday album enter at number 1 and then first solo artist in Billboard history to chart three number 1 albums before his 18^th birthday. Before calling me a 10 year old girl, I will let you know I am a male in my twenties. Not sure why I decided to read this book. I was always a fan of his but not "hardcore" like some people. Judging this book based on content and not literary ability, it was excellent. DONT read this if you are expecting some kind of literary Shakespearean masterpiece. Don't forget, Justin is 18 years old and is a SINGER, not a seasoned writer. That being said, this is an easy read. I read it in one day over the span of a few hours. What I liked about this book was that it had a fair amount of information that wasn't included in the documentary Never Say Never or his first book. There were some appropriately placed pictures throughout the book; many of which I've also never seen before. You can tell that what Justin says in this book is truly coming from him and from the heart. It is almost as if Justin is standing in front of you telling you the story. It is very personal at parts but never becomes boring or repetitive. He talked about each topic with an appropriate amount of detail. Parts of this book are funny, some are sad, and some are purely factual/storytelling. What I enjoyed reading about in particular was his conversation with Kobe Bryant. If you haven't heard about that, I'm not going to give it away; I assure you it was an amazing moment in the book and sounds like it was an amazing moment in Justin's life. If you are on the fence about reading this book, I will tell you this. Even if you are not a fan of Justin or if you are his biggest fan...this book WILL make you gain respect for him. Even if you arent a huge fan of his music, you will see how incredible of a human being Justin is. I use the words "incredible" and "human" for a reason. He is incredible because of his talent, love for family/friends/fans, ability to keep calm in front of thousands, contributions to charity, and a lot more....but what I liked reading about was the human side. They say you don't know or love somebody until you know all their faults; I think that is applicable in this situation. We already know why Justin is one of the most famous artists of all time, but until you learn about him in this book, you cant truly appreciate the whole story. Yes, Justin cries. Yes, Justin has rgrets. Yes, Justin makes mistakes ....but if he was perfect, we wouldn't appreciate him in the same way. He is not a "machine." He is not a "product." He is Justin Bieber and if you don't know the full story behind him, you need to read this. The last thing I will touch on is the title...could not be more appropriate. Here is my favorite quote from the book, said by Justin....."There's no point in doing something if you're not going to strive to be the best. My best is still far away-- I've got more striving to do... ha, ha!" I'll leave you with that. I guarantee this book will put a smile on your face...fan or not. There are topics in here that are relatable for many people. I guarantee you will appreciate this. If you don't., I will invite you to my house to hit me with a baseball bat; one of those blow up ones from a carnival, not a real one, because that would hurt....

I was once a hater, didn't know anything about him until I started to learn more myself, the more I learned about him, the less I hated him. So I per-ordered this book and am not one bit disappointed when I got the email that it was sent to my device at 1 AM. I am a proud member of this fanbase and happy I left the hating herd of sheep.

I love how this book shows who Justin trully is. I love how it gives more details about how everything heppened. Fame wasnt given to him, an oppurtunity was and he took advantege of it, he worked hard to be where he is now. He is hated by people who he havent even meet, people who know nothing about him. By the end of this book you may not LOVE him but you will have RESPECT for him. if you`ve seen never say never and or read this book you would know that life hasnt been easy for him. Justin just want to make a positve change in world, making music, by inspiring others, by giving not only his money but time to charity. Yes he is now rich and famous but still humble, he appriciates everything we do for him he trully cares. He`s accomplished so much... But hes Just Getting Started... Your a Belieber?
