JAWOHL!,

die Prinzen is a band i learned of by total coincidence...i was in a antique-civil war store, and they had some CDs' there were two bands, one of which was die Prinzen. i thought it sounded good so i bought it and we cranked it up in my moms car. instantly we fell in love with it...Now i speak and understand German, but my mom and friend don't speak or understand German, they still loved it and were singing along...with 'english' versions of the song...such as singing "i'm a flower, im a fruit" during one of the songs. its a great cd, if you like beach boys you'll love die Prinzen.

Lots of fun!,

It's another great album from a very talented group. There are some tracks which I don't much care for, but that's true of nearly every album that's ever been madeGreat for someone learning German, or someone who speaks German, but still good for anyone who likes good singing. These guys really have talent!

Grrrreat!!!,

Although this is my least favorite of die PRINZEN's six albums (soon they'll have seven!!!), I really like some of the songs. Someone who made it here before me, said it was corny. I disagree with that, it's just funny, that's all. Some of the songs might sound wacko, but I'm sure they all have some kind of a meaning! For example Suleimann sounds like a funny song about an Indian tribe, but I think it refers to consumerism that flooded East Germany after the Wall came down. GREAT singing. If you think the Backstreet Boys are good singers, you're not even close. You'll see when you hear THIS!!! The best song on the album, to my opinion, is Bombe, which is anti-Nazi. Check out all the other PRINZEN CD's too, they're even better than this!!!

A Fun & Lively Album by Die Prinzen,

This is the group's 2nd album, and I consider it and their first (Das Leben Ist Grausam) to be their best. They have a lot of talent and exceptional wit. If you like the humor of artists like Weird Al Yankovic, you will love this group. It gives learners of German an excellent insight into German idioms and play on words. You also learn to laugh and not take them too seriously. It is a fun album.

After hearing one song from this CD, I bought the whole thing on a whim. I wasn't disappointed! As an advanced student of the German language, I really appreciated the clarity with which Die Prinzen sing - I was able to understand all of the words, which sometimes isn't even true for music in my native language! The songs were fun, with a lot of variety, and very catchy - easy to sing along with. Two thumbs up and I would recommend this to anyone who speaks English or German!

The songs are simple and even rather cheesy, but so what!,

The band is an a-capella band from germany. Their songs are simple and even corny, but lots of fun. This is a great souvenier for those who speak German or have visited the country.
