I've used k&n air filters for years - so why not try their oil filters? They work wonderully. I drive a 2000 Honda Prelude SH and the oil filter is located on the back of the engine in such a position that the oil in the filter drips all down the back of the engine block upon removal with normal filters - not with the k&n!! Only a few drops now drip down, what a difference.

Heavy-duty construction, Sturdy 1" wrench nut that makes oil filter removal quick and easy, Resin-impregnated filter media provides maximum filtering surface for contaminant removal, Anti-drainback valve eliminates dry starts, prevents oil from draining back into crankcase during engine shutdown, makes this filter very reliable. I recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars K&N Oil filters for life!, January 26, 2012

I've been using K&N oil filters in my Talon and Evo for the past decade, through many different track events. They're very high flowing filters with low pressure drop. K&N has charts on their website that shows how well they flow in low oil pressure situations, where competitors do not as well. Add to that the easy socket on the end for removal, and you have the best oil filter out there, IMO!

No you probably won't notice any differences using this filter over others. It's kind of like peace of mind, trusting and knowing it will perform in tough situations. Don't go cheap on the little things for your car, especially when Amazon offers it for 9 bucks, it's only a few more then the cheapest Bosch's out there.

This the Best oil filter one can buy for car. It really makes a difference in the performance. Much better lower range torque and most importantly early morning snags of cold starts is gone completely. I have recommend it to everyone i can see and know. Worth every penny it cost and even more.

K&N makes great products. I use Mobil 1 and these filters and hope to have my engines running for over 200,000 miles. My 2000 Prelude is over 120,000 right now and no oil burning.

4.0 out of 5 stars A bit costly but easy to remove, June 7, 2011

My Acura TL's OEM oil filters were a PITA to remove with conventional oil filter wrenches. Spent a bit extra for the K&N and with a 1" socket (or adj wrench) can easily crack them loose.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for 7500 miles oil change interval, November 8, 2009
This review is from: K&N HP-1004 Oil Filter (Misc.)
I change the oil of my Accord every 7500 miles, so I decided to use a quality filter to match quality oil. The K&N HP-1004 filter was the chosen one. It is a high flow filter, heavy-duty construction and a convenient 1" wrench nut for ease removal. Please do not use Bosch, STP or Supertech in your Honda. They should be ok for 3000 miles, but your car does not deserve them for 7500 mi oil changes.

If you do not like K&N, consider using Mobil 1 oil filters.
