Many guys on my tennis league wear the K-Swiss tennis shoes with great review, so I thought I would try a pair. The UltrAscendors were great right out of the box with no needed break-in time. They were comfortable and provide great ankle support from rolling. I have played with them for a couple of weeks now with no feet discomfort. Great tennis shoes!

I purchased these shoes for more stability on the court after spraining both ankles at different times playing tennis over the last several years. The shoes do provide more confidence than the other brand shoes that I was using. K-Swiss shoes also provide a larger toe-box for people like me who have bunions. I would definitely buy these again.

Update (23-09-2012): Up to 4 stars again. I have been playing more with this tennis shoes and I found ankle support to be SUPERB. Should be considered by tennis players with ankle &/or achilles tendinopathy.
Hot, but for 2 - 3 hours of practice it's oK.

Update 25-04-2012:
1. Comfort. These tennis shoes doesn't need a break in period. Them are very comfortable since first use. Rating: 4,5, but check "ventilation".

2. Weight: K-swiss Ultrascender are heavy (17,1 oz.). Rating: 3,0

3. Stability: Superb, I think this is outstanding and justifies weight of these shoes. Rating: 4,5

4. Traction: Very good. Rating: 4,0

5. Durability: Nice materials, seems long lasting. Rating: 5/5.

6. Ventilation: BAD. After 3-4 hours you wil feel your feet hot. Rating: 2,0/5. POOR ventilation.
Good probably for winter, not for calid-hot climate.

7. Price: Above other similar options and of course you pay for the brand, Rating: 3,5/5

8. Appearance: Awesome. Rating 4,5 /5.

9. Sizes: I use 9,5 and these are width.

I think these are good tennis shoes for "short use" (less than 2 hours) for a tennis player.

Rating would be 3 (down from 4) stars because ventilation and width are a concern for serious tennis players.

P.S: I am an intermediate-advanced tennis player (NTRP: 4,5 level*); I like technical aspects about racquets, strings, tennis shoes and tennis accessories. Nowadays I am playing 80% of my time on clay surface and 20% on hard courts. I play 10-12 hours per week.

I have other tennis items reviews, maybe can be useful 4 u.

This is the fifth pair of these I have had over the last three years. I play a lot of tennis and I really like the added support on the ankles. The are light and durable. I wish I could find them on sale somewhere, but I never can.

Discontinued unfortunately - Great product. Sorry to see it go. Can't figure out why it's no longer being offered by KSwiss. Need a replacement - mid-size top quality tennis shoe....This leaves a big gap in this much needed space....

I have been buying this specific shoe for the past three years. It lasts well and fits well. I have not had an ankle problem since I have been wearing them. Great product.

I like the shoes. I have had 2 other pair of shoes of the same product/shoe and they fit great. Until I went to a professional shoe fitting store I would have never bought K-swiss. My view of them was one of a more trendy/young persons shoe. The salesman suggested the shoe and when I tried it on I was very pleased.

With the pair I just bought the one thing I noticed is it appears to have sat on a shelf for a long time. The material around the heel feels rough and dried out compared to my other shoes.

These shoes have excellent ankle support. I just love them. The toe box has plenty of room and doesn't crowd my toes. My feet don't seem to sweat in these shoes. Hard to find this particular style. I had a women's, but had to get men's this time because it seems the women's aren't on the market any longer.

I wanted a Tennis shoe with more support for my ankles and am very happy with the K-Swiss Ultracendor. They are a bit bulky feeling, but very comfortable, and definetly provide more ankle support. Delivered fast, product as described, great transaction.

These tennis sneakers are awesome! They are the ones I 1st used after I totally ruptured my achilles. I trusted these sneakers and they gave my the support, confidence and comfort I needed after my injury. I buy these whenever I can when I see them!
