Before buying the KTEC Champ, my wife and I were going through a $125 blender each year. We have health shakes every morning and use plenty of ice. It seemed logical to upgrade to this strong sounding blender. It has a long warantee...be sure to use the one from K-tec directly. The unit is like a computerized diesel locomotive. It has several varied speed SEQUENCES for different tasks. The shakes were better than ever and it changed our lives... (I had to laugh at the review about it not running at a constant speed. It's not supposed to!)...it's versatility makes it possible to whip together unlimited textures. But the factory pre-sets are all the average person would ever need. The unit is absolutely incredible. The company is even better. When the pitcher malfunctioned after 3 years, it was replaced for free, promptly with no questions asked. It was even a newer model improved pitcher!. When the unit sounded like the gears were crunching a year later (but was still working), they quickly replaced the entire unit for free. If there were more products and companies like this it would be a better world! When this appliance finally dies, I will immediately buy the best K-tec available with no comparison shopping. This is the Rolls Royce of residential blenders.

I bought Champ HP3 blender 4 years ago after seeing a demo in a home show. It has lived to all the expectations. I use it daily to make fruit smoothies, veggie soups, chutneys and blended drinks.

after 2 years the container cracked and started leaking and was replaced by the company without any questions.

This blender is just about perfect in every single way! I can put almost anything in it and it comes out with NO lumps. Gawd I LOVE it! It makes everything from smoothies, hot soups, ice cream, salsa, nut butters, etc. It's also VERY easy to clean. In my opinion, blows doors over the vitamix or anything else.

I had problems with this blender ever since I got it. The blade never run at a constant speed at any spead level like the demo HP3 did. I attempted to get my money back a month after I bought the blender, but the company would not honor its warranty. I continued to use it and after 6 months the blade seized up liquifying an apple and it leaked oil or grease from the blade bearing into the mix.
