I only used it a few times and already it is broken.

The main tube seals leak air when trying to press air into any system (other than a latex balloon perhaps).

I gave it 1 star only because there was no lower rating.

This thing is junk. It would not pump whatsoever. After half of hour of trying, I took it apart and tried to lubricate the seals. A tiny bit better but still worthless. The hoses are also stiff and come out of the can easily.

Save your money. This thing is wortheless. I would give it negative stars if there was a way to do so! Reason being that you have open and mess with it to find out it doesn't work and after that, it is hart to return it.

I wanted to replace my "cheap" plastic bulb and hose siphon with something sturdier, so I purchased this item. I only used it a few times and already it is broken. Also, it's worth noting, it didn't work that well to begin with. I'm glad I didn't throw away my old siphon...it came in handy today.

I bought this thing and as soon as I tried using it, it imediately started leaking gas out of the ends where the black caps are (not out the hoses). I got more gas on the ground than I did in the tank. I gave it 1 star only because there was no lower rating.

I have purchased this type of pump from several different retail stores, each time forgetting the poor performance I have experienced in the past. This pump could potentially fulfill a basic handyman need: transferring air or liquids. I have usually tried to use it for automotive applications: siphoning oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, engine cooland and the like. It has not been able to perform these basic functions, on any occasion. Specifically, the hose seals are only press-fit friction seals, despite the appearance of threads on the plastic fittings. The main tube seals leak air when trying to press air into any system (other than a latex balloon perhaps). I am unsure what function this device could perform adequately, as it has failed on each attempted use. After my first purchase, a long time elapsed and I began to assume I must have had a bad production model - which I anticipate from any mass produced product... but two subsequent purchases have convinced me that the most valuable pieces in this kit are only the flexible tubing. Better tubing is available. Don't buy this except as a collection of rubber and plastic raw materials for a child's project.
