A master's class in fly work
Arche Best has the perfect name for his craft. Every design in this gem of a guide is clean, sparse and well documented. AK has photos of the naturals next to his creations or modifications of the classic flys. Any serious tier needs this book.

quill flies-- blah
While the photographs are excellent, the packaging high quality, and the instructions clear, I think you REALLY need to buy into the whole quill body thing to take full advantage of this book. I gave my copy to someone who would appreciate it more.

This is the book after you have been thru the rest. Best shows you how to tie some of the most innovative styles around. Be sure to get his other Fly-Tying books as well.
