This listing appears to be the 2011 model, which is only cosmetically different from prior year models. The new 2012 model has speed lace built in, but you can easily add speed lace clips to this model (see below).

I have not found a better skate for under 200 buckss. This 90mm model is ideal if you do a lot of skating for exercise. Smoother than 84mm models. Replacement wheels, such as Rollerblade 90mm Wheel Kit with SG9 Bearings are affordable.

I avoid the K2 models with mixed wheel sizes. They have little plastic offsets that like to fall out when you clean & rotate your wheels, and wheel rotation is fussy.

Very comfortable.

Durability: I had the similar K2 "Moto" and nearly identical "Moto 90" models before recently getting the Mach 90. The padding and everything have held up well up for 2000+ miles.

Speedlace tip: If you skate a lot, add Hi Tex cordlocks (#194 toothed wheel style -- available at REI), tie laces into a loop, and cut off the ends. Super fast lace-up and adjustment...Works great!

Sizing: is accurate.

Yearly models launch in November (usually color change only). Shop around to get them for under 200, or last year's model for under 160. If amazon doesn't have your size, google it. Then google "coupon {sitename where you found it}".

The skates are excellent, it's important to clean them well every once in a while depending on the debris on the track of your preference (mine is on the bay area so there's a lot of sand and small particles). Also rotate the wheels frequently cause they get worn rapidly depending on the usage.

Catalog size is precise and performance is great! Just have a couple of comments: 1. Couldn't get replacement bearings delievered to my country (Colombia), that may be a problem in the future and, 2. This one time I didn't tighten the boot well and it made the skin on the inner part of my feet very sore so make sure you tighten!

Super recommended :)

These skates are smooth and glide when riding. I purchased these for my fiance who wanted to keep up with my while I bike ride but didn't want to take up a lot of space in our apartment. He's 6'1, 210 lbs size 13 and he loves these skates. He told me he feels like he's on air.

Excellent quality combined with comfort grip
Good for long trips and good roads
Having large roller , maneuverability is limited , I consider to use 80 mm for trainings

Just came in from trying out the Mach 90's. First off, let me say that I've been inline skating for many years, so when I researched these skates with such positive reviews, I took the plunge and bought the last pair on the shelf. First impressions? Fit, being the most important, was quite good. Quality and finish, not bad either. Ride, WAAAAAAY too much vibration. Changed to my softer insoles, but there was no difference. You would think with the larger 90mm wheels there would be a smoother ride. No.

Now, before somebody says it must be the rough asphalt, our street is quite smooth.

Another thing. For an "up-scale" skate you would think there'd be a better lacing system like the speed-lace. The cheaper K2 Womens Athena has had it for a number of years. It also gets tangeled in the velcro while trying to lace up. I know these sound like minor issues, but when you pay a premium price for a so-called premium skate, you's expect a better design. Just sayin'.

Dissapointed.
