I'm 28/m, and I just recently decided to start rollerblading again. I have been running everyday for the past few years, but thought it'd be nice to change it up a little due to a few recent back injuries making running the distance I go more and more diff. I used to rollerblade as a younger teen and was more into the whole "skater" scene so it was mostly aggressive style skating, not distance or anything. So when shopping for these rollerblades I had no clue what to look for. I went with the same name skates I used to have to start off somewhere (mine got lost over time and they were the K2 fatty brand) I loved them and after reviewing many skates I came across k2 fit 78's. All and all, great skates for the price in my opinion. Very comfy and sizing is pretty spot on too. I went with my norm shoe size and the blades fit well. They were a little skinny at the toe end, my feet are average size 10. But I have about 40 hrs on them so far and they seem to be forming to the feet nicely now, so unless u have wide feet I'd stick to your true shoe size...not for wide feet!!! Lol. They take to the bumps and cracks and such in the road nicely too. Not sure if they are the best out there, I know nothing about skates except what it says in the specs, but I have no problems with them. They look just like the pic, the shipping was super fast(I got next day and they were at my door by 230) def worth every penny. The only thing I cant say is how long they will last, they seem really well made so im guessing these things will last a long time.... but time will tell. Great buy!

the K2 roller blades are great. love the design, the only issue is that they need to have more padding or a better intersole to deal with the vibration of the wheels. maybe it's just me because I'm an older user. that is my only issue.

I just got these today and I would first like to say that the delivery speed was phenomenal. I ordered these on Wednesday morning and got them Friday night(go UPS!). When I unboxed them and tried them on, they fit pretty well although it was a little loose around the ankle area (I normally wear a size 8.5 but ordered a size 9);I would've preferred more ankle support. After putting them on, I took them for a test skate and the ride was amazing. The wheels just glided over the pavement and the soft boot contoured to the changing angles of my feet. The brake works fine and the design is sick(black and red work so well together!). I truly recommend buying this skate, and I suggest you buy your true shoe size because I went half a size up and the shoe doesn't fit as tightly as I would've thought, leading to decreased ankle support. These are good for beginner and intermediate skaters but might not be as effective for long distance or competitive skaters who value speed and efficiency above the balance that smaller wheels (78mm for these skates) provide. Overall, this skate is a great buy, its superior quality greatly outclasses its bargain price and I can guarantee that you will be satisfied with this product.

I like the soft boot design of these skates. I've only had hard boot skates before and I have to say these are way better. May be hard to get used to at first, but feels more like hiking boots instead of a big clunky piece of plastic. The material breathes well so your feet won't feel like they are in a sauna. Hardware gets the skate tight enough.

These K2 blades deliver with great performance, comfort and style. They are well constructed and I love the lock / string tightening system.

The skate came with a broken strap, that I was able to fix on my own. They are good skates.

These skates function and look great. However, the 5th time my son used them the strap broke that goes across to tighten the skate. Inline Skates stood behind their product and returned the skates and sent out a new pair. My son came in just the other day and the strap broke again. That is 2 pairs of these skates in 8 months, which we live in Arizona, and it's much too hot here to skate, so your talking maybe 4 months of here and there use. That's a skate that is defective and doesn't last very long. If they didn't break I would give them 5 stars because he said they are really comfortable, skate great, it's just they don't last.

I attend UC Davis, and one of the first things I wanted to do was learn to use roller blades. It might have been my obsession with JSRF, or just my desire to learn something new, but I really wanted to learn and to do it in the most cost-effective way. These inline skates were the perfect price and were extremely comfortable. I was able to learn very quickly and (almost) painlessly on these skates. I used them to get to campus, I used them to get to work, and I used them to just explore whatever Davis had to offer. But that's not the reason I gave them a 2 star review.

When I got back to Davis after winter break, I tried to use these skates again. After just 3 months from the original purchase date, the black mesh that holds the rectangular ring that makes it possible to secure the skate onto my foot broke. It was only on the left skate, but it made it impossible to use the skates without my left foot twisting from side to side. Cost effective? Yeah, if you're okay with your purchase breaking after 3 months. I'm not okay with it because these skates were fast and got me places but ended up being unusable. So be wary: these skates can and will become defective.

I would have given these skates a 5 star review had they not broken. Needless to say, I won't be buying from k2 again until I get a response as to why their product bailed on me so soon.
