KA-BAR US Army Fighting/Utility Knife Serrated Edge

My Dad was a Naval Corpman on Guam in WW2 and came home with a knife like this one; I went and lost it when I was a kid. Always wanted to get one and so jumped at the chance to get a KA-BAR just like Dad's.
Good solid feeling knife that I may just pass on to my kids- maybe they won't lose it.

I love this knife. First and foremost, it fits very well in my hand. They did an excellent job engineering the handle--it's really easy to grip and it won't slip out. I have to say that this knife has great weight distribution as well. It has just the right feel to it; not cheap and light but strong and poised. I was a little shocked however that the knife arrived VERY blunt. I have never ordered a knife online so I don't know if they have to ship it like that or whatever but I have some work "cut out" for me this weekend (no pun intended). Being in the Army I can confidently say that this knife is coming with me overseas.

We gave this to our son-in-law for christmas he is in the army and he loved his knife he carries it with him every wheres...

I HAVEN'T EVEN RECIEVED THIS KNIFE YET....BUT I HAD ONE WHEN I SERVED...THIS IS THE BEST KNIFE YOU'LL EVER OWN....AS FAR AS IT NOT BEING SHARP WHEN YOU RECIEVE IT....THAT'S HOW YOU SHOULD RECIEVE A KNIFE....YOU'LL WANT TO PUT YOUR' OWN EDGE ON IT ANYWAY...THEN YOU'LL KNOW IT'S DONE CORRECTLY!...KA-BAR IS THE STANDARD FOR ALL KNIVES!

It's a K-bar, not much else you can say. Why people spend hundreds of dollars on fancy blades (I have also) when this tried and true version will work just fine is beyond me.

I purchased the KA-BAR US ARMY for hunting purposes. I am quite happy with the knife as I was familiar with this knife while serving in the military. The only issue I had was that it was not very sharp. Easy to take care of but, not something I would have expected. I would recommend this product.

I bought this KA-Bar to replace the one that was stolen while I was in Iraq. The Ka-Bar fighting knife is not a new design, and for specific jobs like intricate wood carving it may not work that well, however for a very strong, durable, hunting, camping, and fighting knife it's great. The only ding is that KA-Bar does a bad job of factory sharpening it, so you should sharpen it yourself before using it.

This is BY FAR the best knife i have ever owned. I cut down a 30 ft maple with it. BUY THIS KNIFE!!!!

The blade is excellent and can can almost anything, (including me) but When i went to throw the blade at a tree maybe 6ft away, it hit on the crossgaurd and it bent back to almost parrallel to the blade. I hammered it back to almost straight but I caused the paint to wear on the gaurd and blade in the process. I ordered one in straight edge to have as a collectors version and will use this one as a beater when I'm out in the woods.
