I have always loved ka-bar knives and when i seen their line of lower priced knives called "K2" i knew i would have to try it out.. Well after some searching on the internet i really fell for this knifes design. When the knife came in yesterday and i opened the box, WOW was this thing much Bigger than i thought it would be,, not really a bad thing but kinda too big for my usual EDC.. I do love the spear point design of the blade and it has a beautiful belly. Knife came razor sharp outta box and lock up is solid! My knifes only draw back to me is that it is a solid metal handle which makes it a bit heavy and also makes the grip not as good.. I would of loved to have this knife with G-10 on the handles.. Either way still a nice little Kabar to add to my ever growing collection..

Great value for the money. This is a large folder with a wide blade. Useable blade length is 3.5 inches. Steel is 3cr13. Handle material is aluminum with a rough surface which provides a pretty good grip. Could be slippery when wet. Knife may be a little heavy for some (5.6 oz) but not me. Fits perfectly in my wide hands. Opens easily with one hand and is very solid. Pocket clip is tip down only. Has a liner lock. Would prefer a lockback.

If you grip it low on the handle and give it a good wrist snap, it snaps open really well. It comes quite sharp. I don't know how they do it for $12.

This knife is heavy, but I did not find any problem with that. Even I can pop it open with one hand, and I am a woman with small hands. For me the handle is a bit wide, but I am sure it wouldn't be for most people. I wish the handle had some kind of rubbery coating, but for the price this is a good knife. It is going to be a good addition to my everyday-carry/72 hour-bag.

I was not expecting much when I ordered this knife, knowing that it was one of Ka-Bar's low end knives from China. However, the price of the knife was worth the gamble. Overall, I like this knife. It is probably the best cheap Chinese knife that I have seen. It is a large knife which is good. The blade opens and closes smoothly. I also like the large thumb hole in the blade. I did not like, however, the aluminum handle. The handle is too thin for a knife of this size. The edge on the aluminum handle is rounded off properly but the holes within the handle are not grounded down properly and will catch and nick the skin on your hand. I will keep this knife in my tackle box. Its a good buy for the money.

This is an excellent knife for the price its a good size and its hefty. Ill use this at work or on daily tasks it came out the box very sharp like always ka-bar is one of my favorite knife companys. Great knife for the price you just cant beat it.

This is a giant folding knife.

For the most part I liked the knife. Considering the price point.

Only thing I found wrong with this knife is the weak handle and pocket clip.

The clip broke, screws went flying the first time i tried to clip this in my pocket.

The screw holes on the handle were stripped. So this is now a knife without a pocket clip.

I purchased this with a Kershaw and I have to say build quality,ability to take and hold an edge,and size(over 3.5" in usable blade) it is as good as the Kershaw do not hesitate to buy this at $12. I expect the price on this to go up..This is a steal at $12.

Knife comes very well sharped..Shaved my arms without the slightest irritation.

The pictures on amazon don't quite convey the size of this knife. In actuality, it's close to the size of the 5.25'' Ka-Bar that I have (when extended). This knife comes very sharp, and I spent a good 3 days opening boxes with it while I moved into an apartment. I've used this thing for just about everything, and after a few months it has started to dull a bit. This can be corrected by getting yourself a sharpening stone.

The nice thing about a 12-dollar knife is that you don't feel bad actually *using* it. I use this for everything, and I don't have to treat it with kid gloves. I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone.

Personally, I like large pocket knives, with heavy blades and handles big enough for my big hands. This knife fits the bill for me and the price was very reasonable, less than $20. One problem though is the texturing on the handle is not rough enough to prevent some slipping. But Kabar knives are always well made and, to me, a good value for the money.
